I was one of the bitter folks who wanted the Warriors to be the "Oakland Warriors".

But now that my beloved A's are divorcing me ;-( ... I will always Golden State with pride.

Fremont is a toxic waste dump.

We are lucky to have a first rate basketball team. With a first rate Coach and first rate General Manager in Nelson and Mully. We play in a real cosmopolitan city with a real downtown, and real (knowledgeable) basketball fans.

The Oracle is a "great time out".

There is litterally a trash dump right behind the proposed site down in Fremont. And you can smell it....i'm down there all the time. Anyone know if the dump is going to get removed?

that's just foul...sitting there enjoying a hotdog at the ballgame and here comes the sweet smell of the whole city's garbage.
On a sidenote is it anywhere near the Fremont BART station? Cause it'll suck having to drive down to Fremont to check a game.

i personally just think it sounds better to be honest. plus, since i don't live in oakland, i still feel as tho i am a part of the warriors fan base since it's not just limited to oakland it's all of the "golden state" (it's corny, i know)

hahaha Fremont is not...

a toxic waste dump. I know what youre talking about Coach Barry and that's Milpitas, the town right beneath Fremont. The area where they are planning to build the A's stadium is nowhere near the dump and it is actually in a really nice area that has recently been developed into a shopping center/mini mall type area.

For those of you that know what I'm talking about... they are planning to build the stadium near Pacific Commons, near Claim Jumpers/PF Changs/Costco/etc.

Fremont?

The more I think about it the more I've decided I'd rather see them build a new stadium by the bay or downtown. Fremont is just not very cool (but it is hot in the summer) Fremont's closer to my place but I think I'd rather drive farther to a nicer spot? This Cisco spot is gonna compare badly to the BigAnts and their new waterfront park, instead of McCovey cove there'll be stinky creek, the foulballs will be really foul if they land in the dump.So get with it Oaktown, come up with a plan to SAVE THE A's !!!

Fremont

is not a toxic waste dump, nor does it suck. It is however the worst possible place to stick a professional sports franchise, cause there is absolutely nothing there......
