Nellie Preferred Kings Job???!!!

WTF...he likes the Kings roster better than the W's. And he is already labeling Kevin Martin as an All-Star. Uh, earth to Nellie. Besides Bibby (who can't play a lick of D) and Artest..they are mediocre at best.
The whole article is on the Sac Bee but I found a teaser of the article on RealGM here

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

this is classic nellie
that is what the man does, he makes statements like this that are waaay out there..sort of like a well informed bill walton..if you were to take his statement as truth, do you really think he believes that the kings are at the top of the west?  i doubt it..

i remember when shawn bradley entered the league, nellie talked about him like he was the 2nd coming in the flesh..

the crowning achievement of ira newble's illustrious career

Haha
Good ol' Nellie's just playing tricks on everyone.

No one's going to like me saying this, but the Kings roster is better than the Warriors.

There's some legitimate All Star talent on the Kings:

  • Mike Bibby
  • Brad Miller
  • Ron Artest (a top 15 player when his head on straight)
Some solid players:
  • Shareef Abdur-Rahim
  • Kevin Martin
The Warriors have two near All Star level players:
  • Baron Davis
  • Jason Richardson
Plus one solid player who can't play defense and is a bad fit for this team because of his perimeter game in Troy Murphy.

And the rest of the Warriors roster is like a farm system. Young talent that's fairly inconsistent. Who knows maybe things will be different mid-season, but as of now that's how I see the two rosters comparing.

You all know who I'm rooting for, so it's not like I'm trying to hype up the Kings.

Brad Miller = All Star Talent though
He's a soft defender, but a very nice offensive piece. He's been an All Star in the past too. I'd take him on my squad.

Kevin Martin
The man is scoring 24 per this year. Those are big time scoring numbers. Oh and he's 46-50 on free throws this season. Not in practice, in real games.

I really didn't think he was that good, but damn was I off.

it sucks
that Kevin Martin is averaging more ppg than JRich last season.

martin
is the real deal, threes and layups, free throws and game winners, hes done it all, and its only his third year in the nba.  It does help that he has 2 more 1on1 threats in Bibby and Artest around him, but he has produced.  If he can keep it up, I cant see why he wouldn't at least receive all-star consideration

Kevin Martin has Nothing on Monta
That's why Kevin got his shot blocked by Monta when he tried to take it in on him.

Yeah Kevin it's not that easy to score when Monta's guarding you, huh Kevin?

You're not playing with that grin on your face now, huh Kevin?

Just wait till Monta is in his 3rd year... there will be no discussion.
