OPEN THREAD: GAME #11- Warriors vs Suns

Warriors (W-L): 7-3
Suns (W-L): 3-6
Time: 7:30PM PST tip off
For some reason we always show up against high powered teams like the Mavs, so I'm thinking we should beat tonight's opponent, the Suns. However, we need to be cautious because their 3 and 6 record does NOT show how good they truly are. Add in the fact that they've owned us in the last few years and now the slumping Suns are probably counting on beating up the Warriors to get themselves back on track. But, these aren't the Warriors of last year or the year before or the year before or the...you get the idea. This team is on fire right now! And just how hot are the Warriors? As hot as Eva Longoria herself!
A couple of notes: Steve Nash has missed the last couple games and probably won't play so expect a whole lotta Barbosa. Nash's PG counterpart, our beloved Baron Davis, is also probably out after getting hurt against Seattle. Some good news is that TMurph and Big Bad Ike might be back in uniform to help spell AB against Amare and Co. down low.
I'll be at the game! Section 105, Row 9. If anyone else is planning to be there or near that area we should start a GSoM cheering section.
Vegas Odds: Warriors are favored by 3
Predictions: Warriors by 2
- JRich hits the game winner!
- Monta explodes for another brilliant performance. 28 points?
- Amare gets into foul trouble.
- Defense will start at 9:45pm.
Update: Live Box Score from Yahoo!
Update 2: Final Score - Warriors 110, Suns 113
Stay tuned for the recap...

We Got 6 On It!
It's going to be a good game. My biggest worries are Shawn Marion and Amare Stoudemire. Marion always gives the Warriors trouble and he puts the clamps on JRich. Amare, well we've all seen those "highlight" dunks of him throwing it down on Foyle.
It'll be a fun game. Can't wait!

much props to nellie, but it's gonna take a while for that confidence to come back. just looking at mightmadskillz' webpin, remembering TimBug running the point, the team fun and on point and winning often enough...i hope those days are here again...

YaoButtaMing said "Defense will start at 9:45pm."
Yea ... that was a little joke. I figure the game will end either at 9:45 or 9:46 ... so we might see a minute of defense ...
there aren't too many people out there who get my humor ... but when they do, oh boy!

Seems odd ...
Don't worry about those lost Sun's fans, they will get cold and unable to move by game time, while they are stuck there be sure and take some compromising photos of sungossip with Dunleavey.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but
This game is semi-critical, though. We really need to keep high early in the season if we are to playoff.
Aiight
Adonal with the winning block on Stoudapooper! (or not. Adonal is not good against the Suns. He's really an emergency play here.)
Man, I don't care is McPoopod is starting, I really hope we continue our win streak.
I can't wait until the day Atma admits that we should not have taken a sip of some Jolt.
It would be really cool to se a rematch of the last Warriors playoffs in Warriors-Suns. I'd prdict it a 3) Warriors and 6) Suns matchup. Everyone in the league would watch, and see us for what we are, and we'll be back on the map and owning into the second round.
Then, hopefully in the second round or the conference finals, we meet the Hornets. Cheering the Warriors on in the 'offs is my dream, tand this year may be a once in 10 years opporunity to fill it.
But moreso a Warriors-Suns matchup seems own, and just what we need no matter what the seed!

As for me, I really like what he brings to the team off the bench: hustle, rebounds, and occasional scoring. He's not a great player but he definitely can contribute to the team and play his role.

Suns Gossip gets the last laugh on YaoButta and GSoM.
Nash's clutch 3 at the end there, right in front of the Warriors bench, did ANYONE call out to Pietrus something like I dunno, "SCREEN LEFT!"
But we had our chance at the buzzer, along with all those other 3's taken near the end of the game in haste- Roberson, Pietrus, Dun.
Just got home from the game...

PHANTOM FOUL ON BARBOSA!!!
Oh well the Warriors had a big lead and played to lose at the end. They shoulda had this one.

got home from the game
No worries
Overall, even though they lost, I feel like they're progressing really quickly. If they can keep up with the Suns without BDiddy and JRich around 50-75%, that's saying something. They got some potential. I mean, even keeping BDiddy and JRich out of the picture, I know the team has room to grow. I was expecting them to improve around mid-dec like my friend predicted, but they improved waayy quicker than that. I have yet to see Ike play, I'm hoping he can keep up with the tempo.
But yeah, what a great game, my friend has ellis and biedrins on his fantasy team, and wow, great choices. Can't wait till Wednesday.
Go warriors.
