SactownRoyalty takes a shot @ GSoM faithful

http://sactownroyalty.com/story/2006/11/30/105632/45#commenttop

What's this all about anyways?  TZ's coming through with a derogatory Warriors post without any apparent provocation from Dubs fans.  Disgruntled much....?  I will root for the Kings anytime they are playing a team not named the Warriors or any team with L and A involved in their proper title, so why all this animosity?  Damn son...where's the luv?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I don't see anything in that post
except for facts about the schedule and the W-L record? Where's the hating you are talking about?

C'mon Brosef
I'm not taking a shot at GSoM - I love you guys! I'm just saying, the Warriors aren't very good...

I work in The City, and I'm hearing a LOT of crowing on KNBR and the like. Nothing wrong with that - GSW fans are the only ones that compare to Sactown fans on the passion scale in my book. But I'm just trying to let you know where things stand.

Not a shot at us
I didn't think it was a shot at the GSoM community. It's nice to have an outside perspective on the Warriors. Not everyone views the Warriors with rose-colored glasses (or whatever that saying is).

TZ has some good points in there, but of course, we're still making the playoffs!

Talent and Depth
Bay Area has more basketballSac.  Back up Center has been a problem for them.  And, your beloved owners almost took your team away from you because they want you to pay for their stadium instead of schools.  Records at this point are not that important nor meaningful.  I like our chances of finishing higher than the Kings this year eeking out an 8th spot.

Its just a reflection of what
could possibly go down if we grab the elusive 8 seed.

We'll get beat down by a 1 seed, similar to what went on with Sacto/Spurs the last playoff season.

But then again with nobody across the country knowing where Golden State plays, we'll always have Kenny Smith's Slam last page column about being traded out to Sacramento. Something to the tune of: Sacramento? Why would I want to play out there?!

But it would be hot to get the 8th seed, get the 1st round 4 game bounce, then rag on the early season up and comer out of bitterness from losing a playoff run early.

It wasn't a shot
It was an opinion...

Why would this year be any different?
Look, I love the Warriors, but we always find a way to not make the playoffs.
Its been 12 years of excuses, although we're playing some good basketball right now, I still feel like we will manage to not win 40+ games this year.

hehe
If you think we're not good, I'd love to hear what ya think about the kings...

my bad...
just trying to stir up a lil Sac and GS rivalry i guess, everyone's entitled to their opinion and there is definitely a valid point to your article TZ.  here's hoping the dubs don't have another fall off similar to last year's initial hot start.

No bad...
It's kinda hard to be rivals with GSW and impossible to not like the GSoM community. Neither of us gets the love from the media even though our teams are fun to watch. Sometimes I feel like we are "the smart ones" and never "the pretty ones" at the NBA dance.

In other news, I seriously hate the fact that the Lakers just beat Utah by 30. Not good for either of us. Sir Charles is drooling. If Kobe says we are a "young scrappy bunch" one more time...

Kobe says
"If Kobe says we are a "young scrappy bunch" one more time"...

But MSSizzle,  Man that puts down 81 points can say anything he wants and I'll believe it!!

WELL!!!
Not to rain on parades - I admire Sacramento fans' passion and excitability. But, yeah, don't print those playoff tickets just yet, okay?

Just imagine us at the 8th spot...
AND DALLAS with the FIRST SEED!!! I can smell the finals in an upset...

Haha.
I hate the Kings. But, I tend to float towards his opinion of our beloved Warriors. They have played way too many home games.

It's not really fair to base our play on our loss to Indiana, because a deeper look in to the game lets you know that it was obvious the chips were not stacked in our favor, at home.

coma coma coma coma coma chameleon, you come and go. you most definitely come and go.

Agreed on the Indy game results.
Don't hate! Just, uh, not like us very much. Yah.

Y'all beat the Spurs and Utah and that was not only a huge test but you seem to have messed with their heads. Thanks!

I don't usually ref-bash, but I think the refs won the Indy game for them. I watched the game with my jaw on the floor. It was too biased to get into the "it all evens out" area and every lil bit counts when fighting for a playoff spot.
