Why is Dejuan Wagner not playing?

i see he is still on our inactive list.  considering the W's have been having trouble scoring the ball, something Dejuan excels at, why not activate him and give him some run?  he had a great training camp and good preseason.  plus it seemed like nellie liked what he was showing him. it's not like he can cure all our ailments by himself, but i think he could make some positive contributions.

roberson has his roster spot and i'd rather see dejuan in there than roberson any night.  does anyone know if he's injured or what the deal is?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Been wondering too
But I heard somewhere that it's because Wagner can't play defense whatsoever.

thats true but
wagner can score a lot, and as charles barkley once said "any moron can score" wagner's field goal percentage isnt too conviincing and his defense is sort of a drag compared to a few other warriors guards. but considering a lot of other warriors field goal percentage, wagner might be better than them, so yeah, nelson does need to give him time

Didn't....
Nellie love Wagner during the preseason?  If he loved Wagner, I would think that he was playing at least average to above average D.

Latest news from SJ Merc on Wags
This is troubling....anyone know what's up?

"With Mickael Pietrus out after spraining his left ankle Monday, Keith McLeod still on the shelf with a sprained right ankle, Dajuan Wagner absent because of what the team called ``personal reasons'' and Davis needing some rest after playing 48 minutes Monday, Coach Don Nelson didn't have many options."

been wondering myself
hmm..that is troubling. Could be one of two things:
  1. he is having health issues again.
  2. he is pissed at being on the IL the first couple games and has left the team to get his head straight.
Neither is good.

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.
