Around SBN: Cal RB Jahvid Best Seriously Injured, Carted Off Field

The next twelve games

I don't get to watch the W's much, so a lot of my time being a fan is spent reading what everyone here posts, and by staring blankly at the standings.  I was doing exactly this last night when it hit me - we're in a pretty good spot right now.  We actually have a winning conference record.  Only 5 other teams in the west have a winning record against the west. Granted, we are 9-3 at home vs 1-6 on the road in those games.

We've got 9 out of the next 12 on the road, but aside from the games at Orlando and Miami and the two games at Phoenix, we should be the favorites every night.  If we can go 8-4, we'll come out of this with a 20-15 record, and in a pretty good position to run for that 8th spot.  Of course, it was on a road trip like this when we completely fell apart last year.  But with Nelson at the helm, the team will understand the importance of these games... ...right?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Cohan certainly hopes so ...
... so does Mullin, because we ate Montgomery's contract & grabbed Nelson to prove you right. And if we tank again now that was wasted $millions

seriously have to believe Mullin is on the hot seat and needs to pull a rabit out of his ass for us to make the playoffs and for him to keep his job

re:
I agree with you about the importance of this road trip, and am thankful the schedule is fairly manageable. I also try to predict the outcomes of streches like these, but the Warriors have shown a lot of inconsistency--making predictions pretty tough.

I mean, who would have predicted the 4 game homestand in late Nov./ early Dec. where we handled Utah and SA, only to lose to Indy and Mil.? I'm hoping for a 3-3 trip, but I honestly have no clue as to which games they will actually win. 2-4 seems the most likely to me. They have the best shot at beating Toronto, New Jersey and Boston, but Toronto is 5-3 @ home, while Miami is 4-7!

So, knowing the Warriors will lose a game many will predict as a win, and will win a game they are "suppose" to lose, I say the trip looks like this:

WIN in Phoenix
Lose in Toronto
Lose in N.J.
Win in Boston
Win in Orlando
Lose in Miami

I'm crazy, huh?
So are the Warriors..

AND BD IS A SAVAGE!

oh and...
By winning percentage the W's have had the toughest schedule thus far in the league.  This is somewhat outweighed by the large number of home games, but still...

early schedule
Good point on us having the toughest schedule in the league thus far (based on opp's records). When people talk about all our early home games and how we should have a better record, they are really overlooking the fact that we've really played some tough teams. It'd be a safe bet that there are few teams in the league with as many quality wins over tough opps as us (we just gotta work on winning the ones we're supposed to...). And don't forget our team is young and missing players, so as the schedule starts to even out and we play some of the weaker teams, we'll be playing these weaker teams with a stronger team than we have right now. The future looks bright, both the immediate future and long-term future.

well...
we just lost a tough one to Phoenix. The refs were tough on Monta and the W's. In general i look at the suns and i look at our team. the one thing i think people forget about the suns is not only do they shoot the ball, but they move without the ball because they know nash will find them. When you look at the warriors, you see BD dribbling for five seconds, and hoist a three while the rest of the guys hang around the perimeter. If we only had guys who constantly move on offense, i think our team wouldn't go through these cold streaks during games like we did yet again against phoenix.
