OPEN THREAD: Game #26 - Warriors at Nets

After being the latest victims on Phoenix's incredible winning streak, then moving on to sheer embarrassment by losing to the Raptors, the Warriors are in New Jersey to face off against Kidd, Vinsanity, and the rest of the Nets.

Not only are we looking to Monta and Baron to combat the Kidd/Carter duo tonight, but the eyes of the Bay will be on our man Ike, who should hopefully log some more minutes in tonight's game. Hopefully he can stay out there for a bit and give Beidrins some much needed support.

Vegas Odds: New Jersey favored by 5.5 points.

Prediction: Warriors by 7 and 3/4. (That's going to be tricky!)

Warriors Need to Have Effort

The Warriors have a better record, play in the tougher conference, and have better players on the roster. The big intangible is effort, will the Warriors come out playing hard and with enthusiasm? Or will they think they can just show up and win on pure talent? I hope its effort and enthusiasm.

Baron's gonna get that triple double- those 5 turnovers aren't as bad as they look. BD' moving the ball very well. There were some drops.
Dunleavy's rebounding from two poor games to have a good offensive half. Some defensive lapses, but overall the team d has been pretty good by the Warriors
The Warriors have put the clamps on RJ and Vinsanity, but Krstic is going nuts!

Baron Davis will get a quadruple double...

his turnovers are horrible right now...he's not moving the ball and he's probably missed his last 6-7 shots.
WTF is about the 4th quarter that the Warriors just decide to stop scoring.
Davis is fucking it up big time...he started off and is playing like M. Ellis right now...inexperienced and turnover prone...oops there's another one...

yet another game we just decide to give away. great through three quarters, then in the fourth quarter just jack up some fucking threes that brick off the rim for half the quarter. i want to know why the hell nellie isn't telling these "professional" basketball players that you probably shouldn't take a three when all you're gonna do is brick it. idiotic basketball in the fourth quarter.

Davis he gives and he takes away, but tonight he just gave up the rock 8 turnovers?
and probably only had 2 assists in the 2nd half...
horrible performance...he had the numbers, but he reminded me of Kobe... he made a couple of good shots and forgot how to pass.

Yeah but it would be expecting too much to think that he's at full strength yet. No, This is a game where the others needed to carry the load.
When they start self destructing coach should institute a no shots from farther than 10 feet rule. We'd be better off passing and trying to get an open cutter or driving to the rim and looking for the foul than just shooting bricks from outside.

This is pathetic

THE Warriors have got to be the STUPIDEST team in the NBA. they play great then they stink it up with no ball movement, too much 1 0n 1 play, and too many contested 3's. In that 4th quarter i saw: bad shot selection, turnovers, 10 seconds of defense, lack of effort, no leadership. Honsetly, how can a team be so, so stupid? Maybe its the losing culture, or the young players. What i don't get is why is Matt Barnes and McLeoud shooting the ball late in the shot clock? You have got to get the ball to your best players out there. I know Barnes is shooting like 47 percent on 3's, but still, i won't rely on him to bail me out. This has just been a disappointing season for me this year. I can't believe this team is lacking so much basketball IQ. Nellie needs to hold a fundamentals training camp. We spoiled the return on jrich and ike.

THE Warriors have got to be the STUPIDEST team in the NBA.

The word "stupid" is all I must've been saying during the remainder of that 4th quarter. That and "Why?". STUPID shots. Nothing is going in. WHY keep taking them?

I love rooting for this team, but they make it so easy to hate them at the same time.
