More Notorious[ly bad] POB NBDL stats
OaktownFunk already has an awesome diary with the stats from Project O'Bryant's first couple NBDL games. I just wanted to highlight his underwhelming performance today in the NBDL showcase:
MIN: 17:19FGM-A: 0-3
3GM-A: 0-0
FTM-A: 4-4
OFF REB: 3
DEF REB: 3
TOT REB: 6
AST: 1
PF: 6
ST: 0
TO: 2
BS: 2
PTS: 4
He fouled out in 17:19 while going 0-3 from the floor! Ouch. Maybe Mullin can find a way to package him into one of the possible trades everyone has been talking about...
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

How about Murphy, Dunleavy, Pietrus, Diogu, and POB for Garnett? C'mon, five guys for one!

I'm still a fan of POB
Look at his stats. He rebounds and blocks shots.
And he's not much of a scorer.
Isn't that what he personally said the day he was drafted?
You can't make a final decision on him for 3 years. So far he's less than we hoped for, but is he really less than even HE claimed?
Maybe others built up too much expectation.
Maybe he's a bust.
But let's see how it plays out. I didn't think AB would be as good as he is this year. Maybe players CAN develope, if you give them time.
It was always a project pick. Fault the GM, not the player who claims he rebounds and blocks shots mainly, and not scores much. Because, at least the stats show rebounding and shot blocking. At least he's realistic about himself as a player.
I'm still pulling for the guy, but it is frightening when the people closest to him are giving up on him. I hope he proves himself.
