Tonight, tonight

Wow.  Ever since the trade I have been waiting for this night.  This is my first time posting after finding this page through myspace.  I am so excited I could throw up! Since Baron isn't playing tonight(for swinging on someone I think he should have after that elbow he took) I think this is the perfect game for our new players to showcase what we can do.  Sure, not having practiced Nelly-Ball much at all the new players will look awkward in some of the fast break situations like Azubuike did, I think they will adapt just as fast as him if not better.  And on that point, I think if the warriors have not yet renewed his 10 day contract(they may have I havent had the chance to research it) they will be missing out on a terrific SG/SF.  I know when Peitrus's contract is up he will want a significant amount of money to stay, BUT I think  signing Azubuike will make you able to trade or just let Pietrus go.  I mean I like the guy, he is one of the best corner shooters I've seen in awhile, but his basketball iq is missing.  He's great on defense, which is what makes it so bad when he creates turnovers after putting the ball on the floor.  I don't know, I haven't heard anyone say this but I will now!!

-Signing Azubuike to a 1 or 2 year deal will allow u to keep Biedrins, Ellis, and Barnes together, instead of having to just keep Pietrus and Barnes or Biedrins and Ellis.  I don't know, I'm sure most fans would say Azubuike still has to prove himself, but I would have to say he handles the ball better than Pietrus at every point on the court and has a better shot and drive to the hoop.  This has gone from me talking about being excited that our new guys are playing to me ranting about keeping some youngsters so they can shine later.  In short all I wanted to say was Baron being out will give us a chance to see more of our new Sarunas which I am excited for.  I feel like he(like Azubuike) will fit in naturally to our system, smooth as silk.  Well I have to go sit in front of the tv enthralled for 3 hours now, happy watching everyone and leave me a comment or two, let a rookie writer know his faults and praises.

I agree
But i think we should flip Barnes to somebody who would appreciate his streak shooting a bit more. I think Nelson would do good to build his value the rest of this season, and send him off for a person more consistent. Defensively, he's above average (so I've heard), but the Barnes factor never really clicked with me.

Azubuike honestly represents a better combination of skill and shot more than Barnes. He may not produce as much immediately, but Barnes' streakiness could shoot us out of a game as much as into a game.

Barens plays much
bigger than Azubuike

I doubt we would be able to trade Barens.  At the end of the year likley he will get a contract offer from another team and we will not match it

Anyway the Azubuikes and the Barenses and even Pietrus don't matter that much at all for this team in the long term.  Baron, Monta, Biedrens, J-Rich, Jackson and Harrington are.  The there a plenty of serviceable NBA players to fill in the rest

re:I agree
I never looked at it like that but that makes sense.  I will also admit that I cheer for underdogs, guys like Barnes and Dunleavy(the 2 years ago Dunleavy) get me stoked when they have their "good" games BUT!  For a good team, a team that is able to hang with other teams in the West, yeah, trading Barnes for someone solid off the bench, a good example being what the kings had in Bobby Jackson, I would definitely support that.  But seeing him play in those last couple of weeks, I would really prefer to see what he can evolve into under Nelly-ball, since he already has the "D" to me.

I agree, however
i don't think we should sign barnes. I mean this guy's good, he can play some good D, but i just don't like his game at all. He turns the ball over too often and the cold-shooting nights just kill me. I think we should sign Azubuike to a 1 or 2 year deal and try to keep Biedrins and Ellis.

Azubuike
will not even be playing once J-Rich gets back

What happens with Azubuike, in the big scheme of things for the Warriors, doesn't matter at all
