Baron Davis ranking for MVP

16. Baron Davis (GSW): 20.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 8.1 APG - The only thing that can slow down Davis is injuries and for the past five seasons that has been the case. As he showed in the postseason, he should be mentioned with Nash, Arenas and Kidd for top point guard honors.

Baron
is amazing, he deserved to be on the all-star team at least last year.  He's easily one of my favorite basketball players I've ever watched, and I grew up watching MJ and Scottie Pimpin.

if
baron plays like he did last year in the playoffs for 70+ games then he's for sure the mvp. i don't see it happening either. he should for sure be an all star tho

Remember
Adonal is Super #1, he just likes to be modest.

Can someone check this up for me?
Hasn't all the MVP's from the last 20 or so seasons been able to lead their team to a 50+ win record? All the recent MVPS were on championship or borderline championship teams that had a 50+ win record. Baron would have to stay healthy and be able to help us get that many wins. He would also have to shoot great percentages, that might be hard to do since he'll probably be launching up unnecessary shots in Nellie's system.

I think for Baron to win MVP he'd have to:

-Stay healthy for 70+ games
-Have a good FT%
-Have good FG and 3p percentages
-Make the West All-Star team
-Be on the top 3 in assists and steals
-Average 3+ rebounds
-Solidify the Warriors by leading them to 50+ wins and letting everyone know that Golden State is a team to worry about.

And to get more people's attention:
-Be there in the clutch, hit a couple game winners.
-Dunk on a bunch of defensive big men to show how much of a beast he is on the court.

Or he could put up last year's numbers
And the dubs win say.... 70 games.  The best player on the best team ALWAYS make top 3 in MVP voting... had to let evryone here know I'm still a homer.
THIS IS OOOAKLAND!!!

good call
Hadn't even thought of that.

Here's a listing of all past MVP winners

A quick perusing of the winners revealed no exceptions. You need 50 wins.

Basically 7th and 8th seeds need not apply.

Questions? Complaints?
