Sky High Dreams

Hello, I can't help myself, my anticipation and enthusiasm for the new year is the highest since 1995 (then Webber left).

The way that the 1st team played on Tues. was sweet; they were clicking and sharing the ball.  Azubuike is going to make us forget about JRich (loved his devotion to the W's and grit but dude could not dribble with his left or right, did not create very well in the half court and played awful D) because of his scoring abilities and defense.  Belinelli is a legitimate deep shooter; you can just see it in his shot and how he moves.

Finally, perhaps the best story is the development of O'Bryant.  After the depths of Bakersfield, he is showing that he can play in the NBA (even if its just 2nd teamers).  The wait for a legitimate center may be over (I still love Andris).

I've seen Rick Barry in '75, was there a team in the '80s? (oh yeah Purvis Short and Joe Barry), Run TMC in '92 and Webber in '94, but this team may be the funnest with the ability to compete with the best.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

This team
seems to be the most light hearted of all the squads I could remember...I barley remember the Run TMC era but the Webber era wit Spree is etched in my mind (one of my favorites)...this new team though, NOW this is a squad that is both good with each other and individually on and off the court...hope i'm not speaking to early and I know it's still pre-season but obviously there is alot of potential...If this play continues we'll be watching games up into May!!!

cheers to that my brothas
the last two months of last season where an absolute thrill...and it looks (still early guys) like they are going to pick up where they left off. A whole season like that? I hope my heart can take it!

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.
