Week 7 Matchups
Prediction
Buccaneers (4-2) @
Lions (3-2)

The Lions are struggling to find consistency while the Bucs are struggling to find a starting RB. The Bucs picked up ex-Raider Zack Crockett and with ex-Chief Michael Bennet, the tandem should be able to give Garcia his rest between dominating plays!

Titans (3-2) @
Texans (3-3)

Vince isn't healed quite yet and I think his return to Houston won't be as miraculous as last time...

Patriots (6-0) @
Dolphins (0-6)

Can the Dolphins just forfeit this one?

Ravens (4-2) @
Bills (1-4)

Willis McGahee gets his revenge!

Falcons (1-5) @
Saints (1-4)

Byron Leftwich gets the starting job from Joey Harrington - who didn't see that one coming? Joe Horn gets reunited with the city that he spent 7 seasons and should receive a warm welcome. But this one has Saints written all over it...

Cardinals (3-3) @
Redskins (3-2)

Tim Rattay sucks.

Jets (1-5) @
Bengals (1-4)

I am SO close to giving up on the Bengals...but they can beat the Jets, right?

Bears (2-4) @
Eagles (2-3)

Didn't the Bears have a good defense last year? How could they give up 444 yards to the Vikings - 224 to Adrian Peterson RUSHING? Eagle power baby!

Rams (0-6) @
Seahawks (3-3)

Bulger's coming back, so that means that the Rams stand a chance?

Vikings (2-3) @
Cowboys (5-1)

The Cowboys have one mission - stop Adrian Peterson!

Steelers (4-1) @
Broncos (2-3)

Who thought the Broncos were going to be good? Cause you guys are waaaaay off!

Colts (5-0) @
Jaguars (4-1)

The Jags have quietly moved to 4-1 but if they can pull off this W, they'll be given the credit they deserve.

Some Tony.psd flavor in ya ear!

GSoF
Golden State of Football

Prediction

Chiefs (3-3) @
Raiders (2-3)

So much for the Raiders ending on top of the AFC West. The Chiefs on fire after a slow start and now that Preist Holmes might be coming back...they're running game looks like it can get even better. The Raiders posted decent numbers last week, but it wasn't enough...

49ers (2-3) @
Giants (4-2)

The 49ers are in a similar situation - the Giants are red hot and the 9ers are not. The bye week helps, but its highly doubtful that they can pull this one off...

GSoF... is it really necessary?
Personally I think you guys could be using this space for better things... it seems to me that this is a basketball site... I'm sure people go to football sites to get informed about football...

Will people ever
stop trying to ruin my chances at Warrior tickets? Sheesh.

Irreguardless, if you don't like it, scroll down, look at the diaries....or whatever. It's a nice side game that a lot of us like to play. Its usually only at the top of the main page for a short time. And, it never takes Atma, FJ, or any of the crew away from the news, because R Dizzle does it.

So critics, STOP COMPLAINING!!!!

(I apologize for being so blunt.)

Your comment... is it really necessary?
Personally I think you could be using the comments for better things... it seems to me that we've covered this very topic many, many times about why we're doing GSoF... I'm sure people read the comments for this post and didn't expect to see your whining...

My bad Atma...
just wondering why I see football on a basketball site.

I have some wacky picks this week
but they're just what I need to get into the lead.

Here's your GSoF Standings after week 6:

The space is to denote who has negative points and who has positive points.

What I find really tragic is that Eddie had Tickets locked up if he had not missed another week. Sad for him, good for me!

So, only 16 eligible people, and the seasons not even halfway over, so things could get tricky! (even Though Evil Tut has 42).

(I apologize for the crappiness of the image, I've worked for 3 hours on this and I really need a rest.)

Oh, and I'd also like to not that Atma, once again, is last. I think he should stick to hoops. (No offense, just a joke.)

Aye Zorgon you know what I dont care
what the do with the space. I just think its a waste when other people are doing what R Dizzle does on another page because its a FOOTBALL BLOG. Why would a basketball fan go to a basketball website to look at FOOTBALL... hmmmm... perfectly logical. But hey GSoM staff can what whatever they want because this site is theirs, and even though I do not agree what they do with whatever they do, they can still do it because its freedom of choice and they chose to do it and I chose to do this... so Zorgon, please  let me piece and thats it.

Ok, ok
I'm sorry....it's not you, it's the fact that its just another critic....

I think Golden Gate Warrior symbolizes why some of us like the section. I'm more of a basketball guy, but I still want my football fix. Not to mention that I'm not really a 49er or Raider fan, so there's no point in me going there. And the one Browns site I got to is pretty smalltime. So, I'm glad I can enjoy this football section, with some of my friends who like basketball.

So, sorry for being so harsh....and I hope you understand.

Haha
Honestly my score is so terrible because I'm always looking to pick 4 or 5 upsets every week. Ask Fantasy Junkie, R Dizzle, and Yaobuttaming about my Fantasy Football DOMINANCE though!

I think....
GSOF is actually pretty decent. I hardly ever go to football specific sites because I'm more into basketball and the Warriors, but it's nice to be able keep track of how the 9ers and Raiders are doing from here...

Since I fit the bill, thought I'd just post it to let people know there are some of us out there that appreciate it!

Pats/Niners?
either the niners are gonna barely beat the pats or the pats are gonna win 84-0

Or, more likely, they won't play each other this year. Or are you predicting they meet in the Superbowl? ;-P If they did, the score would almost certainly be somewhere in between your two absurd "predictions": Pats would likely score between 30 and 50 and your Niners would score between 0 and 20. Fortunately for you, the Niners' 2008 Superbowl performance isn't something you'll likely have to worry about.

But um, yeah, instead of contributing some wisdom to the site -- hoops-related, football-related, cultural, or otherwise -- feel free to whine and make inane predictions...

It's all good
You're complaining about 1 post out of maybe 14-20+ a week about football?

Go somewhere else then.
