The W Column: Unbelievable, Unforgettable, and Unstoppable Baby!
We're baaaaaaccckkk. Oh we're back baby! The W Column over at FSN Bay Area is in full effect and back again like Baby Bash and Akon for a second season.
The new NBA season and GSoM Night II are just days away and I couldn't be any more hyped. But before we move forward to 2k7-2k8 and beyond I wanted to thank everyone who helped make the 2006-2007 Golden State Warriors season so Unbelievable, Unforgettable, and Unstoppable Baby! Make sure to head on over to FSN Bay Area to check out this historical retrospective and my introspective as a long time Warriors fan whose last taste of Warriors' playoff action was in 8th grade. The embedded links in the piece will bring a smile if not a joyous tear to your face.
You know it's funny. Around this time last year when we were coming up with names for this blog with our friends at FSN Bay Area the column title "The W Column", as with most things at GSoM at that time, just seemed like another one of our goofy jokes that only true Warrior fans could relate to. Haha, a column about the Warriors with a reference to actually winning games? About these 12-straight-years-of-sitting-at-home-while-half-of-the-league-was-still-alive-in-the-playoffs Warriors? Now the Warriors are actually expected to put up more in the the W column than in the L column. Oh my how things have changed!

Last year was a blast!

Also make sure to check out our good man Adam's own fresh retrospective of last year's storybook season and a look forward in his inaugural Golden Break column.
The 2006-2007 season was pure storybook.
10.30.07 ARE YOU READY FOR THIS?!

![Fresh off his second contract buy-out of the past 2 years, former face of the Warriors franchise Adonal Foyle has been picked up off waivers by the Orlando Tragic to be a practice partner for Superman [Third Quarter Collapse].
Where are all the folks screaming at Nellie for benching Foyle the first second he got here? Can you believe Chris Mullin actually structured a team option for $10.5 million after this season in Foyle's contract offer back in 2004 (see Worst FA's since 1996)? Can you believe Robert Rowell actually approved that deal?
Be on the lookout for this summer's blockbuster movie Dumb and Dumber II: The Mullin and Rowell front office.

![Back in Time: March 19, 1972 [SI.com]
Led by Elgin Baylor, Wilt Chamberlain and Jerry West, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors 162-99. The 63-point margin of victory established a record for most lopsided victory in NBA history.
Tonight shouldn't be that bad on TNT (fingers crossed)- although we do remember how "Unstoppable Baby!" the Warriors were the last time they were on national TV.](http://cdn0.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/38020/3368430170_4f4f556516_o_small.jpg)
