NBA is Fake?
Just found this article on Yahoo Sports! Detroit Pistons Power Foward Rasheed Wallace says that:
"This game ain't basketball anymore, it's entertainment," Wallace said. "It's starting to get like the WWF. There ain't no real wrestling anymore either. It's all fake."Rasheed usually says a lot of bull, but this time I think he may have a small point. Take the NBA Draft for example. The 2 teams that tanked the season didn't get the first 2 picks, at least one of them should. Could that have been rigged? Should the NBA go to a draft style like the NFL? Also, refs have been betting on multiple games. Whats up with that?
But, the main question is; is the NBA rigged/fake?

the question is
However, the officiating in the playoffs was very shoddy so it's not a completely absurd line of thinking.

the NBA
during the draft memphis only had a 25 percent chance at getting the number one pick and they didn't get it.
boston only had a 19 percent chance
i don't see anything rigged about them not getting it its just chance. if anything, they would have rigged it to send oden and durant east. anybody knows that anything that is a step towards balancing out the league is a good thing. stern knows this. if the nba was the wwe we would have seen phoenix vs clevlend last year.

Proof is on the right path
Keeping fans interested is key. And our attention spans are so atrophied that we can't bear to watch when true basketball skill and technique are used.
That's why everyone thinks the Spurs are so boring. Yet they dominate.

Did he think the WWF was real at some point?
I don't know how you could have a conspiracy between the refs and the league and keep it quiet, especially after coming down so hard on Joey Crawford and Donaghey. Someone at some point would have talked by now. There are just too many former and present officials to have a proper conspiracy.
The lottery was installed to prevent tanking, like Houston was accused of doing to get Akeem. Of course, the very next year New York wins the Lottery and gets Ewing and the conspiracy theorists say that the envelope with New York in it was frozen so David Stern could pick it among the other envelopes. Guess what team got "shafted"?!?!? Well, they did get Chris Mullen . . .

Two things to keep in mind:
- Every time something happens that is somehow irregular or remarkable, you'll find a conspiracy.
- Rasheed is slightly insane and has never gotten over the day when he found out that the WWF was fake.
