Haywood, questionable on Friday

Haywood did not play against the Sixers on Tuesday because of an ankle sprained when he landed on Andray Blatche's foot.

Haywood, who is averaging career highs of 9.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks, sprained his left ankle during Tuesday's home win over Philadelphia. He tested it Wednesday afternoon but said he couldn't play.

Brendan Haywood is one of those big and physical centers that Andris has difficulty guarding. With no Agent 0 and (maybe) without Haywood, the Warriors have a real good chance to finish the road trip 4-1.

If it is true
that Haywood will be sideline for Friday game, then perhaps Blatche or Songalia will man the 5 for them. Ethan Thomas is out of the season due to heart surgery and Pecherov is also out indefinitely due to broken right ankle.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS - *Center Brendan Haywood (11/22, sprained left ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against Golden State. Guard Gilbert Arenas (11/21, left knee surgery) is expected to miss at least three months. Center Oleksiy Pecherov (11/3, broken right ankle) is out indefinitely. Center Etan Thomas (10/10, heart surgery) may miss the entire season.

Andray Blatche
Has been a beast for them in Haywood's stead.

2 games
32.5 min
19.0 pts (18-29 fg)
10.5 reb
3.0 blk

With his upside, he could end up the steal of the century for them at $5/15M.

Kind of a bummer, 'cos I totally coveted him this offseason. Imagine a Blatche/Biedrins/Brandan frontcourt in a couple years?

I haven't watched much of Andray
Does he have any mid range game?

I only ask this because he and Wright seem to be redundant unless one can play the 3.

I've only seen highlights
But yeah, he has a J all the way out to 3 pt land. He was 12-14 from the floor the other night, including 1-1 from 3. He might even be more dominating in that regard if he hadn't been shot in the wrist, which put his hand in a permanent curl. Still:
Another personnel scout in the Eastern Conference believes Blatche could ultimately become the next Rasheed Wallace: A tall, skilled perimeter shooter and playmaker.

good
if a guy with that upside got a mere $15m/5years, then we shouldn't have any problem keeping POB for $3M or less.

Thanks for settin the market, wiz.
