Pistons Loss
While I am usually disappointed and fired up after a Dubs loss, I just can't find it in me to be so after this one.
This one was just one of those games that is probably a result of horrendous scheduling by the league. The starters looked pretty lethargic in the second quarter and as a result became a bunch of bricklayers and let the Pistons run off a 17-1 run. The Pistons looked rested and comfortable and as a result shot over 50% for the game. There was just not much that could be done. It wasn't even the defense too. Although, this game reinforced the question if we are ever going to find a solution for big boys like Maxiell.
I really enjoyed watching the young guys play today. Brandon looked good and showed some excellent signs. I think once he gets some muscle and gets stronger, those dunks won't blocked and he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. I liked seeing him experimenting with the J also.
Belineli showed some signs to today that were encouraging. His shot looked 100% better and he looked more comfortable.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a little better but it is still a result of poor scheduling. One reprieve is that Gasol is out so I'm hoping that will be a big plus for us.
What do y'all think about this morning? (a win at Portland would have been nice to offset this one but hindsight is 20/20 i guess)

I agree ...
- I would have like to see less of Barnes and Pietrus because they took too much away from the guys who need to get playing time. Give the ball to Wright for damn sake!!
- where is POB. I would of like to see him as well.

hmm
But as for now, we can't settle and be happy for losses like these. Warriors played their hearts out on Friday, what happened today? In the end a game is a game no matter the time, opponent, etc.

damn..
Everything that could possibly go wrong, went wrong. You can't blame small ball, b/c we went big and got owned. You can't blame going big, cuz we went small and got owned. Can't point to THud cuz he never even played. Nelly tried absolutely everything he could, and nothing worked. We got destroyed in every single aspect of the game of basketball.
Nobody on our team played well either, there was no silver lining.
Gotta give the Pistons their due though. They've been this good for this long for a damn good reason.
And the scary part is.. Rasheed Wallace didn't even do much, the guy we all expected to kill us. They're a scary team, those Pistons.

can't win them all
The 2nd half really showed how unorganized our offense is. No movement, just one on one plays. They looked like a bunch of players trying to impress Nellie by looking for and launching their own shots at will. And ended up looking more awful.
Maybe it's just the players, failing to execute but I really want to see this team run plays. Brandan Wright can definitely do that Dwight play, where you run him off a screen and throw the ball up high to the basket. And even Monta can pick some from Rip's book. Then, add to that some screen plays for him especially with that quickness, and this team would be alot better.

Things I took away from the game
- Croshere needs to either catch-and-shoot or give it up. He cannot drive and kick or create for himself at all.
- B Wright has a chance to be special. He got to a whole bunch of balls that people with normal-sized arms just wouldn't be able to get to.
- Baron is human.
- Nellie is more than willing to sacrifice a small chance at a comeback to prepare for the next game (starters played like 3 minutes in the 2nd half, while Detroit starters played the whole 3rd quarter). This might be how Baron will be treated in blow-outs this season.

agree with both lightzOut & gsw4life
As much as I defend Nelson, and pulling the plug was the right move Sun am, there is really no excuse for a professional basketball team not running some organized plays when they can't get the run&gun going

Post Ups
They posted us up every single time it felt like. One on one they would score, if we would double they would rotate and score.
I guess they figured out the best way to beat us and exploited the hell out of it.
