Pietrus a fan favorite?

Watching a recorded Dubs game earlier in the week (I think it was the second win against the TWolves) and  one of the FSNBA guys interviewed Pietrus and asked why he was such a "fan favorite."  Maybe its just me, but that was one of the most ridiculous/hilarious questions ever.  Even Pietrus seemed a bit taken aback by it.  Maybe its just me.  Couple of questions for discussion:
-What is the general fan consensus on Pietrus?
-Does this guy still have any trade value?
-He's no Todd Fuller, but how does he rank among Warriors draft "busts?"
-Finally and totally off-topic, is it just me, or does anyone else miss Felton "The Shaq-Missile" Spencer?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

In my opinion
Pietrus IS a fan favorite. Not for his basketball skills (or lack thereof), but for hs personality. I remember at this year's open practice, the crowd was going crazy when he was introduced and when he was out on the court shooting around before the event started. He was ven playing catch with the crowd, and they were eating him up.

Nope
Not really. Good person, but not a player that the fans love mainly because of his small stupid mistakes.

hes a fan favorite
because of how he is off the court. hes always joking and he likes talking to fans and hes really nice to everyone. so ya on the court he isnt a fan favorite at all. hes kind of like foyle (off the court!). you should have seen him at last years open practice he was doing the worm and breakdancing

Sure the recorded game wasn't from three seasons
ago?  He was definitely a fan favorite back when he could defend anybody in the NBA.

Countdown on Pietrus
Hey, some of us waited for the winter Solstace, but I'm waiting for Tuesday when Pietrus can be traded.  Not so much because I don't like his game (which I don't), but because he is complaining about his playing time and has value as trade bait.  Let him be a fan favorite with another team who has someone we really need: a non-scoring banger and or back up PG.

No, he's not a fan favorite
By the sound of the cheers at the games, it sounds like Matt Barnes. (I'm speaking of bench players not starters)

Although, I believe that fans like Bellinelli even though he doesn't get to play.

I remember that JRich always drew the louder applause during the intros over Baron.

Pietrus is a favorite to get traded
I can't forgive him for the free throw misses in Utah during the playoffs.

Everytime he's on the court, he'll do something that makes me want to be violent. He is athletic, but that's about it.

Great guy off the court. But that's not enough.

i don't think so..
b/c im sure many people have the same reaction anytime he comes into the game..and that is..." OH NO" b/c he always makes mistakes and lives in the corner, not a lot of off the ball movement, kinda just stands there a lot. I believe Matt Barnes is starting to get in that same realm as well, b/c he seems he has only shown glimpes here and there of actually being beneficial to this team. I hope they get rid of Pietrus soon, so we can bring in some fresh faces and people that would appreciate being here.

MP hasn't been as bad this year as he has been...
...also who would we play instead of him?

Nelson hasn't found anybody to take his minutes on our current roster...that should say something about what he does that a lot of other people on our roster can't do....
