Remember that blowout loss to the Hawks in Atlanta just a week ago?
It was ugly.
Stephen Jackson ugly
Sorry Jax, that's just a bad picture they have for you on the Warriors official site.
Well it's time for a little payback. We can't let them come into our house and beat us. It's time to show them what this team is really capable of.
Atlanta is coming off of a big win in Phoenix and is looking to sweep the season series with the Warriors. At 25ppg, Joe Johnson is always dangerous and will look to continue his hot streak. In his last 7 games, he's scored 32, 10 (ouch), 27, 37, 28, 33, and 34. Except for the 10 point game against the Nets, he's scoring above his season average. What will he score against the Warriors? 30? 40? Just make sure to shut down his helpers, Josh Smith, Marvin Williams, and Zaza Pachulia.
Baron is most likely still out. The Warriors are probably just going to let him rest the injury until the All-Star break. After tonight, there are games at Denver and at home vs the Knicks. By not letting him play these last 3 games, that's an extra 10 days for him to get healthy and make a late season push to the playoffs. Plus his return will coincide with the return of JRich.
For this game, the Warriors will be able to score a ton of points, but it will come down to defense and their ability to make stops. The team has been rebounding well lately (except for the disaster in Minnesota), so hopefully we keep it up.
Vegas Odds: Warriors by 4 (10:35a)
- Warriors win by 15
- Monta goes nuts and collects 31 points
- Foyle plays more than 15 minutes
- Warriors score over 120
- Powell outplays Marvin Williams
- Jax gets mad at the ugly reference, kicks my ass, then drops 50
