Kobe as a Judge?

Just heard this on ESPN. The judges for the Sprite Slam Dunk contest will be:

Michael Jordan
Dominique Wilkins
Dr.J
Vince Carter
Kobe Bryant????!!??

WTF? Am I seeing things? Kobe Bryant should not be a dunk contest judge. I guess Vince can be one since he's still sick at dunking, but Kobe? Please. J Rich is robably not even a thought when it comes to deciding the judges. Yet he's won 2 contests. In the latest edition of SLAM magazine, they had an article on what it would be like if all the greatest dunkers in the Slam dunk contest history got together, in their primes, and had a dunk contest. and guess what? they didn't even mention Kobe's name. Besides that he would be supposedly sitting in the stands watching.

you scred me for a second, I thought you were talking about him trying criminal cases. Whew.....

Although he's not deserving, he doesn't have ties to this game, so I don't think he'll snub anybody, and I think he knows a good dunk when he sees one.

What we should be more concerned about is Tyrus Thomas and GERALD GREEN ahead of Monta Ellis getting into the dunk contest! WTF is this snubbing!

gerald green can get UP!!! monta is really to small to be in the dunk contest. he can dunk it but lets see him do a 360 windmill around the back with a doohicky!!!

Yeah... but I've only seen Monta do...

breakaway dunks... or dunks on people. I've yet to see him do a windmill, or 360, or anything else spectacular. Gerald Green deserves his spot in the dunk contest... what I wanna know is how did the league pass up on JAMES WHITE!!!???? Someone tell the commish that this guy can get up! Between the legs from the freethrow line.... THATS AMAZING!

Tyrus Thomas

Thomas is an athletic freak. I don't know what kinda stuff he's got in his bag of tricks, but he can bring the power and the hops for real. Dwight Howard on the other hand might not look very impressive due to his height. But if he brings something different you never know.

Also, i wish they'd included more competitors like at least 2 more. And i hope they dont let Nate get away with 20-30 attempts on each of his dunks again. I mean c'mon!
