Let's Start the search for a Power Forward available draft and free agents

I'm looking for the player to sure up our power forward spot, I don't think we need a really high offense player just a man that will defend, rebound, get loose balls and the ocassional put back with a low turn over rate.

Anderson Varejao  good height, plays hard doesn't turn it over, won't jack up unecessary shots, rebounds well can get put backs shoots a decent percentage glaring fault free throws could be better.  Free agent at the end of the season.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

SIDESHOW...
VAREJAO!!!  i don't really like the guy!  yah, he might do what you say, but as a basketball player that's what they're supposed to do!  we might just end up overpaying him to be a bust and then i'd have to sit and watch his hair for a whole season!  no thanks!

we should have gone after REGGIE EVANS or tried harder w/ CHRIS WILCOX!

GO WARRIORS!!!

draft
if were going to go after someone in the draft it should be Al Horford. He could rebound, low post moves, he could shoot the J, and defend that guy should be a Warrior

Varejao
Yea I don't think very much of this guy, but he does hurt teams with his relentless pursuit of the basketball.  I think besides his hair being a major distraction, pisses off the opposition pretty well.  He is constantly doing things to disrupt the other team's flow, so I wouldn't mind him on the team, but at the same time don't feel he'll be gotten for cheap.  If the warriors boot the right people, i wouldn't mind him on our team as he already plays on a bad team so he is already used to getting his points the hard way and dealing with being a true role player.

My hopes for the PF position are that we don't get another softy like Harrington who would rather shoot jumpers all day than bang on the block and get the points from the free throw line and high percentage shots in the paint.

my vote goes to:
Al Horford. He is a beast and the most ready power forward coming out of college. I think i'd rather take him over Joakim Noah. Although it would be a tough choice between Horford and Brandon Wright. He has superstar written all over him.

Warriors should do anything to move up in this years draft to get either Horford or either Wright's.

If we are picking between 8-14, which wouldn't help a damn thing, then look for the warriors to extend their streak to 16+ years.

Forget Free Agents
We have no cap room to sign any free agent baring some trade that would free up some $$$$ or Cohan deciding to pay a luxury tax.  We should try to move up in the draft.

lux tax
This is not a defense of Cohan, who was and remains responsible for this mess, but Cohan cannot decide to pay the lux tax and thus magically be able to sign a big ticket free agent. If he wanted to spend every dollar he has on lux tax, he still couldn't offer more than the MLE to a free agent.

no more softies
get someone who will not only bang in the paint but will crush someone coming down the lane. i personally don't want the warriors leading the leauge in 3 point play opportunities given up again next year.
