CBS Sportsline Ranks Warriors

If the Warriors end up in the mix for the No. 7 seed, would they intentionally tank in order to draw likely No. 1 seed, Dallas? I'd order it. The hold Don Nelson has on his former team is amazing.

We didn't get as big a jump in rankings as the other list someone provided earlier, but we were ranked higher to begin with. We went to 14 from 15. Looks like Tony Mejia is sippin' the GSOM kool aid...seventh seed? It's definitely possible considering how bad the other teams in the race have been!

right now the 7th and 8th spots are like a half game apart, so we could get the 7th, for better or for worse. scratch that, for worse, lol.

Fox Sports Power Rankings

had a very large jump for us, from 25 to 14.

Hopefully that win over the Mavs isn't the main highlight of their season. Four wins in their last five, and the loss was in the one game Baron Davis missed since his comeback.

I think...

this is a more accurate depiction of our jump in play. We were REALLY bad...how Mejia had us at 15 last week I do not know. I mean, I predicted .700 ball a week ago but I never woulda published that...

tank for 8th

i'd prefer to play the mavs if we make the playoffs, but i don't think tanking to face them is a good idea since so many teams are so close to those spots tanking my make us slip out of the playoffs entirely

Not to mention

I doubt we'll have the luxury of purposely losing games down the stretch, considering how tight the race is and the multitude of participants.

On other ranking note, Steve Kerr has us jumping from #22 to 18. Quite a big jump. Still though, he continues to be a Warrior hater...

The Warriors' almost perfect week was spoiled by a wipeout loss in Portland. Still, 3-1 isn't bad.

There's a PROPER way to get the 8th over 7th

If somehow we were actually in 7th, all we would do is rest baron and not play him... so we either start off in 7th with better health, or drop to 8th and better our chances

I'd rather play dallas in the later round, just because we beat them twice doesn't mean they are a pushover. The odds favor them next time, they won't lose every game to us. If we beat someone else in the first round we'll be in better shape to go all the way.

I could see us being the 7th seed

I could see us being the 7th seed in the playoffs because of the free falling Lakers. All because of injuries and Kobe's mindset of probably throwing in the towel for the season since now it's just him.
