My id for the mister X on the 4 spot

The 4 spot is now the most talked about. We all think we need an rebounding big forward.
But I was thinking who could be the one. Nene sounds  good to me. I think we al forgot that Denver's got another 4, Kenyon Martin. When Martin comes back (properbly next season) Nene is heading to the bench once again. He is to expensive for a bench player.
I think he can bring the power and the rebounding we need.

Any trade ideas?
J-rich? Harrington?

hmmm....
Nene would be great to have, as we desperately need rebounding, but it would be VERY hard to get Nene, and we would have to give up one of our core players (J-Rich, Baron, Monta, or Biedrins).  Nene has too much potential to be an easy trade, and way too big of a contract for us to sign.  Not to mention, is K-Mart really a power forward? I thought he was a 2 guard, or small forward (which, given the AI trade, means there's probably a good chance of Martin being dealt).

I'd love to grab Anderson Varajeo, Craig Smith, or Paul Millsap.

Kenyon Martin is a 4...
He's played in the C position before... back in his days in New Jersey... but he can not play the 2!!! man.... I know K-Mart hasn't played in hella long because of his injuries... but he was a former #1 pick...

kenyon martin a two guard?????
WTF????

Anyway, I agree with bradyk2 on trying to get anderson varejeo but Paul Millsap? I don't think the Jazz would give him up unless we trade Monta, Biedrins or BD. guy's got too much potential.(btw, like Monta, Millsap was drafted in the second round and has become a very good player off the bench. just wanted to throw that out there.)

Rollin into the playoffs like a fat guy rolls into McDonalds!

haha
im glad im not the only one that was confused and laughing at that comment about KMart as the 2 guard.

The other K-Mart?
Methinks Brady's thinking of Kevin Martin rather than Kenyon Martin. One is an up-and-coming player and possible big-time scorer, while the other is a down-and-sinking-further unskilled tough guy who's perpetually hurt and has a nasty contract. I always thought he was overrated, and now that he's been hurt for a million years... well, I'll keep my Harringturtle thankyouverymuch.

Harrington plays the 4...
but he's better suited for a 3.  Offensively, he can play the 4 well b/c he drags people out of the block where most power forwards don't want to be, then he can take them off the dribble, or just removes relocates one of the teams shot blockers.

Defensively, he's guarding guys a lot stronger and bigger than him, and although some are willing to give up that advantage... when a team plays a halfcourt set against us, its like shooting fish in a barrel when he's on the block.  I like Al, but they need a 4 so they can slide him to the 3.

like Monta, Millsap was drafted in second round
"and has become a very good player off the bench. just wanted to throw that out there.)"

So how come we ended up with the little guy and they got the big man? Did they pick ahead of us?

Denver isn't trying to make us
better and I am not so sure than Nene will lose out to Martin

Anyway what do the Warriros have the Denver would want?

i wish
we coulda gone after former Nugget, Francisco Elson. He could have been a good gamble. I would look into a trade with Charlotte for one of their bigs, they seem to have a plethora of talent down low and they do need some perimeter guys.

I would love it
if fransisco comes to the warriors, because he is from my country, Holland.
The only thing is, Elson is a defensive center. not a power forward. But he can get rebounds

screw nene
JUST got a fat contract from denver. dont think denver would do that and then trade him altho can i mention a name to counter my argument mikedunleavy. something about nene i cannot pinpoint...but that something is what i do not like about him. The injuries maybe? hmm.  hes big. hes talented. he can rebound. he can run the floor. what is it about him i do not like?? its gotta be those seasons when he was injured and didnt do jack and then got a fat contract.

kmart sux too he used to be good but HERE WE GO hes basically a 2 guard.  hes skinny. hes aint that big. and hes a little wuss that gets injured all the time so i see the guys point that hes a 2 guard. did anyone see the mentioned 2 guard get dominated by tim duncan in the nba finals?

by jrizzle on Mar 29, 2007 5:28 PM PDT   0 recs

Dude
Tim Duncan, along with Shaq, is one of the two greatest NBA players since Jordan. A lot of guys are going to get dominated by him in the playoffs.

Martin is definitely injury-prone, but that doesn't make him a little wuss. He's 6-9 240 and has averaged 7.3 boards and 1.3 blocks over his career. Does this look like a 2-guard to you?

I'd rather have Nene, too, but if we could get KMart for a total salary dump -- say, Foyle and Jasikevicius -- I'd seriously consider it.

Nene...
he's good on the offensive end when he has the ball on the block, but I don't think he's much of a garbage/hustle player.  He likes to score and if on the GSW, i think he would demand the ball a lot more than playing w/ anthony and iverson.  He's ok, but I don't think he'll adapt to the role that nelson would want him to play, let alone able to develop the work ethic and conditioning to run w/ the warriors.
