Playoff Tix now "on sale"

well, looks like the W's are actually selling seats to the possible playoff games now. It isn't that deposit thing they were doing a couple weeks ago. This is actual seats to the 6 possible games in rounds 1 and 2 and you can only get upper level seating. Basically you pay up front for all six games and any unplayed games (up to all of them) will not be refunded, but put towards tickets for games next season. You can go to gswarriors.com to search for available seats. I just checked for the best available and here is what was returned:

Section 222
Row 5
Seats 5-6         US $270.00 (Adult) x2

Section 221
Row 9
Seats 17-18         US $270.00 (Adult) x2

Section 228
Row 10
Seats 17-18         US $270.00 (Adult) x2

Section 205
Row 10
Seats 5-6         US $270.00 (Adult) x2

$270 per seat for 6 games...got me thinking. Would you guys do this or just wait until they actually get in the PO's and then buy single games?? I'm itching to lock up my seat. I BELIEVE!!!!! HORNETS UP 4 with 1:22 to go!!!!

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Damn
I hope Mavs tickets aren't that pricey.

Damn
That is expensive!!!!  $135 each!!!  I went to some games this year and bought tix for lower bowl for less than half of that per seat.

I have an idea....
Do you think they will be showing the away games in the arena during the playoffs?  so we could all go watch them in the arena and they could be like "wow lets take a look at the fans in oakland.. they're going nuts!"

and then we jump and scream and pose for the camera on cue.

[alarm rings]

damn, late for work!

LOL
They do that in the Lloyd Noble Center (Basketball Arena) for OU football bowl games. However, they aren't cut to during the game. They just are featured on the local news.

To answer your question:
I've already paid my $700+. Call me crazy--and I'm a long-time Warrior fan, so you probably can--but I'm willing to drop big coin on a momentous event such as this. If it happens.

Btw, Oak, my ticket rep told me that any unusable (i.e. eliminated from the playoffs) tickets WERE refundable, though they obviously were trying to get you putting the money toward next year. I could be wrong on this though, I was a bit distracted with the thought of PLAYOFFS BABY

That's the same thing
I heard from my ticket rep.  When I read this Diary I got worried for a second and went back and read the fine print.  It says you "can" put it towards next season, but that they will honor any requests for refunds.

wait a minute...
$700+ ???? Was i wrong in assuming it is only $270 for 6 tickets? IE: $45 per game, per seat

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

AND
are you positive about the refund...i see this posted on the warriors spot in more than one place, "*No refunds will be given for payments received; credit for unplayed games will be given towards future tickets.".

Actually
I talked to my ticket rep again to be absolutely sure about the refund.  I don't want to get stuck with that kind of a bill, if I don't actually go to the games!  What I found out is that I'm only eligible for a refund becuase I purchased the tickets through the playoff priority list (since I got the playoff push pack).

god dang
I don't have that kind of deep pockets :[ It would be nice if they did an "I-O-U", but knowing that Cohan is the owner...

by MVP on Apr 10, 2007 10:20 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Haha
Since other owners in the league would allow IOU's...?

by Ballin Above All on Apr 11, 2007 9:11 AM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Yup
Mark Cuban does! haha just kidding

$270 for all 6 games.
Yes, on ticketmaster it lists that price as the total plan price.

by gswarriors2006 on Apr 11, 2007 3:34 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

It's Pretty Cheap
$45 per seat was basically the same price during the season, so I dont see why everyone thinks its so pricy. And for season ticket holders, they let you have the first 2 rounds of the playoffs at the price you had during the season which is hella cheap and a great deal! I'll admit ticket prices are a little pricy as compared to baseball, but Basketball is so much more interesting. Anybody want to split half season next year???? It'll probably cost you $2494 for 23 games (2 seats per game). Let me know if your interested.
