Monta takes his first shower

Anyone listen to Al Harrington on Jim Rome this morning? He said that he met Monta while he was in high school and had him over to his house. Al said that before they went out Monta said "I have to take a bath." Apparently Monta had never taken a shower before he was 18 - only baths. I wonder how Monta feels being sold out on a nationally syndicated radio show like that.

you have to pay for a subscription to listen to the archives of his show!? He's not that great. I'd rather listen to Bob Fitzgerald for free any day.

possibly as coma said,

bath being a general euphemism for bathing of any sort.

monta did grow up under pretty rough conditions, and it's not all that uncommon for impoverished folks to go the bath route, as it uses much less water and, believe it or not, some of us had to take baths after our siblings in the same bath water.

still, with monta playing so much basketball in school, coupled with the all-star tourneys, etc., there's no way he didn't hit the showers a few times along the way.

i didn't listen to the feed, and it's pretty confusing why Al would even bring it up, but knowing what an ass Rome is i'm not surprised. hopefully Monta's cool with it.

unless you re-use the bath water...

...showers use less water, (unless you shower waayy long like chicks do). Last time my shower drain was clogged, I only filled the tub 1/3 of the way while I showered. But who cares. Monta is bad-arse. Besides I think taking a bath means i need to go get ready so I can get me some before we go out so I can catch up with Wilt...smart young man that Monta (what's worse is when ESPN showed highlights of the Twolves game, that lady called him Mon-tuh vs Mon-tay...that's pretty damn lame...)
