"NELLIE! NELLIE! NELLIE!"

When was the last time you heard a home crowd start a chant for the coach?  It doesn't really happen.  LET'S CHANGE THAT!  I propose that some time during the last regular season game against the Mavs on Tuesday, fans start a spontaneous chant of "NELLIE! NELLIE! NELLIE!."  (Perhaps right after the chants of "PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS! PLAYOFFS!)  The players get all of our love during the game, and deservedly so.  However, I for one am so grateful to Don Nelson for all he's done so far for the Warriors and for the Bay Area.  I THINK WE NEED TO SHOW NELLIE SOME BAY AREA LOVE! He needs to know and feel how much he is appreciated!!!  I would like to lead the cheers, but I can't make the game and while I'll be screaming my head off, I don't think you'd hear me from my television 100 miles away from the Arena.  What do you all think???

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

too late
we were chanting Nelly and Playoffs from the upper section. We were loud. I will be at the game tomorrow. That makes 4 straight games for me. Let's do the Nelly and Playoff chant again!

Chant "Nellie"?
He might put himself in the game just like he sent Foyle in yesterday. Haha.

haha
yesterday on the news they showed part of his press conference after the game, and when he was asked about the chants, he said something about how he heard the chants of "foyle" so he put him in, then he said it was a mistake

he also talked about how at night he sits in the boiler room with his dog and a glass of scotch to write his gameplan. and then he said an awesome quote

"the more scotch i drink, the better the gameplan gets."

he is an awesome coach, though maybe he should hold off on all that scotch

I propose fans start a spontaneous chant of
   "NELLIE! NELLIE! NELLIE!."

coaches
get too much blame when things go wrong and not enough credit when things go right. it's this way in all sports

Nellie's Scotch
If Nellie's scotch is winning the games, let the man drink his scotch.

And I won't be at the game but a Nellie chant sounds awesome!
