Who got the best of the trade now?

http://www.sportsline.com/nba/gamecenter/recap/NBA_20070415_NJ@IND

Indiana's loss combined with Orlando's victory over Boston eliminated the Pacers from playoff contention. Indiana will miss the postseason for the first time since the 1996-97 season.

Pacers are officially out of the playoffs.  Well there you have it.  The proof is in the proverbial pudding.  We officially got the better of the trade.  Kudos to Mullin for pulling this deal.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Well
We could still join them on their fishing trip... :-(

Either way, there's no QUESTION who got the better of the deal.

wtf?
Everyone knew who got the better of the trade like the day it happened. Way to go, Captain Obvious. You totally uncovered this one.

Playoffs in '07, baby!

everyone but the national media
but that is just par for the course when your a warriors fan. But yeah, i was thinking the same thing yesterday. How on earth anyone could have thought anything but Walsh/Bird being bent over a barrell on this one was insane.

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

yah
a LOT of the media, especially ESPN "experts", thought the pacers had the better end of the deal because they got rid of Jax(and his troubles) plus got a project in Diogu.

They are in a weaker conference and NOT in the playoffs.

We are in a tougher conference and on the brink of making the playoffs. Go W's!

one more thing...
I bet the Pacers are glad they pried the "next elton brand" out of our hands :)
Let me just say it again (I said it all the time when he was here), Diogu SUCKS...he is horrible. He's the next malik rose at BEST.

Let's Go Oakland! Gas, Brake, Dip.

Armando Benitez
Maybe the Bay Area can ask the Pacers if they want to trade for Armando Benitez too.  I'd take like $10 cash for him.

I never understood why it would've mattered
if Pacers made the playoffs or not. I think they probably would've made it with their old team, so why does them making the playoffs mean they win the trade?

Anyways ya, I'd say we got the better end of the deal since it seems like we got better players AND better contracts..
