Ah well, I guess it's clear to all that I've been totally infected by the spirit of the 1 Dub. I keep waiting for you to dig up some of my old posts from when I was a mean, bitter SOB. Remember when I was calling for a Baron trade? Sure you do ... it was only like a few weeks ago. Shame on me.

In fact, I think if we make the playoffs (IF!!!) it might be fun to dig up like the Top 25 GSoM Warrior-Hater comments from 06/07. Could be pretty entertaining. I nominate you for the job, GSD. Just try and find a few that weren't written by me...

#2 is Phoenix

I looked up the link. #2 is Phoenix, not Denver (they are #8 I think). That makes sense. Not seeing Phoenix in the top 10 shocked me and I was about the curse Hollinger before I looked up his list.

amazing fact

on www.nba.com, they highlight the last time the w's went to the playoffs, against phoenix, and show clips of their last game... don nelson was our coach then, and avery johnson was our guard lol. now THAT is ironic.

I loved that team

Avery wasn't the go-to guy, but he was the sparkplug. He had no half-court game to speak of, but he was a master at the old "take the outlet, race downcourt, and lay it in before the other team gets set" trick. Sort of the ELLIS TO THE RIM play, minus the "to the rim" part (not sure Avery could even touch the rim). Webber was my favorite player -- I named my cat "Chris Webber" in his honor :-P -- but my then-girlfriend/now-wife was always fascinated by Avery. To this day he still can't stop smiling whenever she sees him interviewed.

Ugh. I vowed not to participate in any of these touchy-feely "Warrior Memory" love-ins till we made the playoffs. Please ignore.

except for the favorite player part in that at the time i thought spree was the "ish" but i loved Cwebb too...as for avery, my dad really liked him filling in for tim hardaway that season...like you said though no more "touchy-feely "Warrior Memory" love-ins till we made the playoffs."
