It comes down to this

This Diary is in the reasonable assumption that we win tonight, as we are up 20+ with 1 quarter to go

The Clippers have caught fire and beat the suns, continuing their most unfortunately timed winning streak.  So this means our playoff hopes rest on the final game of the season.  Win and we make the playoffs.  Lose and we have to rely on the Hornets to play spoiler.  What worries me is that Portland can give us trouble as they have in the past.  Lets all hope that the emotion from this win will keep the team pumped and ready to dominate Portland and break the curse.  It would be very nice if the Hornets could win but the way the Clips are playing right now I wouldnt count on it.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

winning streak
was a bit of an exaggeration sorry, I was going for more of, a few come from wins(Lakers and Suns tonight) that could made tomorrow a mere formality.

alright
that's what i figured you meant since they have been playing well in most of their recent games

Hornets beat the Clips
Just last week. If CP3 plays, it could easily happen again. Not saying we should count on it, but that little bit of insurance is kinda nice. Their game starts a half-hour after ours, so it should be a pretty insane night...

I am not too worried
Both Randolph & Roy are done for the season.
Also, if the Lakers lose tomorrow, we're in whether
we win or not.

I think the Kings will beat the Lakers tomorrow and
we beat Portland and we face the Suns!

we can't loose
cause the clippers win...they tie with the warriors 41-41 record and own the tie breaker (division record) so their in...tomorrow is a must win because the warriors don't have the advantage of watching the clippers/hornets game later so if the dubs loose tomorrow then the clips have something to play for and we all know what thier capable of...bottom line: must win..
rubbadubdub thanx for the Dubs! and maybe playoffs!!!

tiebreaker
Don't forget that the Lakers and Clippers hold tiebreakers against us. Meaning that if we are all tied with 41-41 records, we miss the playoffs, while both Clippers and Lakers take the final spots. The Lakers hold a tiebreaker over Clippers and they'll get the 7th spot, while Clippers get the 8th. A win is a must for our playoff hopes and pride since that the Blazers blew us out with their previous 19 pt. victory.

Not if the lakers lose ..
If the lakers lose, we lose and the clips win, it will be a 3 way tie and the tie breaker is different!
It will be conference record and we own the clips in that! Lakers are anyway in since they own both division & conf record tie breakers over both the Clips & us

My bad, I was wrong .. we need to win.
This 3 way tiebreaker applies only the three teams are NOT from the same division. Since this is not the case we need to win tomorrow! Sorry!

I hope your right but...
i think someone said that since the lakers, warriors and clips are all in the same division (pacific) the LALA land teams get in that both LA teams own divisional tie breakers with the warriors...wheres Sleepy when you need em!

I think you guys figured it out on your own
Lakers clinched the playoffs two days ago when they beat Seattle.

For the record: the first tiebreaker in the event of a three-way tie is not divisional record but head-to-head games among the three teams. The Lakers would win this easily (having beaten us 4-0), so it would come down to a tie between us and the Clips, which, as we know, favors the Clips.

It's all kind of a joke, really. Wouldn't a one-game playoff (as in baseball) be a much fairer and more exciting way of breaking the tie?

tie breakers are a joke and
i hope the dubs don't have to face a tie breaker tomorrw!!!! david stern would get so much more money out of a one game tie breaker!!! right on Sleepy for clearing that up!...

hopefully they dont take baron out
because he had the pushing fight with the mavs. just like that first game with all the trade players. but i doubt they will suspend him, any ways j rich and gang wont let us lose.

Why would they suspend Baron for that?
No punches thrown = no suspension... plain and simple.  No need to worry.
