Joey Crawford: Suspended for the rest of the season

Yeah, okay, I know this is kind of a silly diary to write because the Warriors are a WIN AWAY FROM THE PLAYOFFS but did you guys hear about the referee Joey Crawford getting suspended for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs? The reason is because during the mavs and spurs game Tim Duncan received a technical foul from Crawford, so Timmy went to the bench. A little while later, Duncan began to laugh after a call made by Crawford and the ref gave him a second technical, ejecting from the game. I guess David Stern thought that duncan didn't do anything to be tossed out and Stern suspended crawford from the rest of the regular season and the playoffs. Apparently, after he tossed Duncan out of the game, Crawford challenged Timmy to a fight and that's what I thought was funny. An old referee fighting an NBA power forward? I think I know who wins that one... Whatch'a guys make this? Was a suspension necessary?

They shoulda suspended Duncan for the playoffs
instead. Crawford gone won't help us!
Seems like a chickenshit way to treat a long time official?  duncan is very annoying so I can see Crawfords point.

Coma
chill out man, it was 3 days ago. I think it's pretty sad that you search through diaries to find a post that you can tear apart. Let's just have positive comments for one day. I think that Duncan chips away at refs. He is a great player no doubt, but the guy complains a lot. I could see a ref getting fed up with it. And it would make me pretty mad if I T'd someone up, and the dude was laughin at me on the bench

yea i heard of this...
it goes both ways, but i feel that the referee took it too personal. his laughing didn't affect the game or cause any real issues to the game itself. if he was a lot smarter, he could've got him back during the play-offs!

ally you're right
Crawford is a great ref, this is too bad. He's talking like he's retiring now. Too bad we're losing one of the best refs in the NBA.

It wasn't just this isolated incident
Crawford apparently has a history of sticking his ego where it doesn't belong, and has been warned about it. This time, he tried to stick it to one of the most beloved and respected players in the league, and got it chopped off. Poor baby.

Given how much we at GSoM gripe about the refs, I'm actually surprised there wasn't a diary about this earlier. This is great news for everyone who thinks NBA refs need to be knocked down a peg or two. But yeah, not quite as great as the news we're all expecting tonight...

Never heard that before, everyone I know thinks Duncan is a whiney little bitch?

In my opinion
Duncan is a whiny little bitch.

Explanation please?
I've never heard anything like this about Duncan before.

it's okay tadams.
he only said shut the hell up because he couldn't defend himself after he just found out the incident was only three days ago.

i'm talking about sunday through saturday idiot,
but does it really matter? the fact remains that it wasn't a long time ago and that I never said that it wasn't last week anyway. I said it was three days ago. but whatever, if you want to get all whiny on whether it was last week or not, do it with your friends or something. I don't need to hear you acting like this after you started this whole conversation(tadams was just asking from you a positive comment and you said "shut the hell up")

It's funny how this site is almost all anti-coma.
I think this stems from a few things:
  1. Most people on this site are dumb.
  2. Since most on this site are dumb, they think any little news deserves a diary.
  3. Pointless diaries made by dumb people are, well, dumb.
That being said, there are a bunch of really insightful posters on GSOM.  Unfortunetely, there are much bigger bunches of people who just plain do not understand anything remotely complex, and (correct me if I'm wrong), that is what annoys coma.  So he goes on to respond almost in frustration that there was more intellect. I'd do the same thing, but I'm just too lazy and this site quickly got overpopulated with this category of poster.

Notes:
-You should be able to write a diary when you are bored, and I'm not talking about any diary in particular, but MAKE SURE THERE WAS ACTUALLY TIME SPENT THINKING AND ANALYZING WHAT YOU'RE WRITING.

Example of bad diary:

Title: big game tonight

Body: OMG i'm so excited about the game tonight!!! I've been a fan for soooo long plssss warriors make the playoffs those portland players are all scrubs and they are injured they dont even got darius miles. sorry for my grammer. ok i need more characters or whatever so let me just say thisx0x0x0x0x0x0x0x0x0x0 one dub!

What more do I have to say? Step up your game, guys.

BTW. go dubs.

errro
Or because I'm picking on people for the hell of it today. I think thats more the issue. He has every right to be Anti-me when I'm giving him a bunch of crap.

But yes. about 2/10 diaries are absolutely useless. But it's just not for us to decide my man.

That is a horrible diary.
but what are you trying to say? my diary is pointless and dumb? I wouldn't write a diary like that. That is pointless. and i don't think you can call people dumb just because of what diary they wrote. But aside from all of this, I didn't want to begin a whole conversation on if sommething happened last week or not. now people are writing comments that have nothing to do with what the diary is titled.(sorry im doing it right now, but it's only to say that people should comment on the diary, not argue.) I did not want to argue in the first place.
