ESPN SUCKS!!!

This has got to be the BIGGEST news in the NBA, but ESPN reports the WARRIORS 1st PLAYOFF appearance in 13 years as just another NBA game!!!

I just watched the telecast of ESPN SPORTSCENTER and they just showed the highlights from the game just like a regular season win or something and not one of the greatest finishes from a team that has missed the PLAYOFFS for a record 12 seasons!  I don't want their love, but at least their respect for our beloved W's for finally making it into the PLAYOFFS!!!

I guess this is only BIG news to the people in the WARRIORS NATION and GSoM!!!  I ain't trippin though, the W's will make a lot of noise in the PLAYOFFS...if not the players, I sure know the WARRIORS FANS will!  ORACLE ROCKS!!!

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

That's because
outside of Oakland, not many people care. If the Hawks made it, would you care? I still would've liked better coverage though.

GOOD POINT
But shoot, even the HAWKS have been to the PLAYOFFS more recently!

I guess only WARRIORS FANS are the only ones that can feel the magnitude of this accomplishment!  Especially the ones that have been counting since the last time they made the PLAYOFFS!

Definitely could have used more coverage!  And ZORGON, aren't you ticked that the W's couldn't sustain or build on the 28 point lead so FOYLE could have gotten a piece of ending the 12 year curse?

GO WARRIORS...TO THE NBA FINALS!!!

Well
I don't want to be a downer amidst all of the celebration....but yes, very. He better get to play in the playoffs though.

ESPN DOESN'T COMPLETELY SUCK
The W's made the TOP 10, although #10!  They were in fact recognized for their achievement!

So ESPN you don't suck that bad!

Funny...
I just made a post that can probably be seen as supporting ESPN's claim that it was just another game.

But yeah, it's sucks that they would ignore the significance. Of course, being overshadowed by Sacramento for the past several years doesn't help.

Funny thing is.
I would actually care if Hawks made the playoffs... just because I love Josh Smith. too bad they don't have a good point guard(damn you, marvin williams!).

But yeah, I was pretty sad on tuesday 'cos it could of been Foyle's last game as a warrior.

it's all good
espn like every other so called expert out there really expect dallas to sweep the dubs and heand them their heads. it's like oh nice story, break the streak but your reward is getting your head kicked in....little do they know....it's all good, game 3 in oakland is gonna open the eyes of the nation as to who the best fans in sports are, and it's gonna open eyes about how good this team is !!!!!

remember when clippers made the playoffs?
it was a huge deal, plus everyone was so impressed by Sterling beginning to shell out $$$ to have a decent team.  damn media bias towards major market teams (though i'm confused why oakland, which is situated near metro/cosmopolitan areas is never mentioned... oh well.. oh wait i know, 13 years OUT  the playoffs)

wasn't too bad this AM
Well Clips have Brand, awesome big man on not so great a team. Twolves get a lot of coverage for KG too. Although I love the dubs players, they're not superstars (at least not yet). Only reason Lakers get so much coverage is Kobe.

Check this though, I don't remember any coverage about Toronto and hardly any for the Bulls either. But the Nets seem to be everywhere.

This AM I saw a little better coverage. They showed the playoff matchups and made the point Dubs have swept the Mavs this season. They also showed all the other higher seeded teams have better regular season records vs their playoff opponents.

Too bad Barnett and the other guy won't be covering the playoffs on TV. Are they going to do radio coverage?

BTW warriors are 2nd article on ESPN nba page (on right) and #2 and #5 daily dime. Not bad.
