Barnes sporting a Mohawk!

Apparently Barnes told his teammates back in February that if they made they playoffs he'd get a mohawk!

Here's Barnes explaining what happened to reporters at practice today:

I've been rocking a mohawk for the past 2 months and been growing my beard for almost a year. It will definitely make him more streamlined and able to knock down more 3's

faux hawks are way outta style, straight up 2005... especially for black men. not a good look for ANYONE in my opinion.

jock-hawks should always be out. i'm glad harrington got rid of his but now barnes baby is trying to correct his original hair issue with something even more horrifying. speaking of barnes here's something for everyone who has a passing interest in the guy should peep. this randomly found blog is responsible for me refering to matt as a crackhead lately. feel the barnesation barnes nation!

On calling me out the day I manned up to get a Golden State of Mind account. No offense though, since I'm part-crackhead, part-whack, and a whole lot of bandwagon hopper. Just to clear this up: first off, its like a complimentary crackhead, since we all love Matt Barnes over at the son of dippin. Secondly, although at first it looks as if I'm simply about loving on Matt Barnes and nobody else, I've slowly developed into a halfway decent Warriors fan watching as many games as I can get here in NY, and don't tell anybody, but I even quietly rooted for the Warriors to beat the Knicks when I went to the Warriors-Knicks game at MSG. Go Warriors.

Haircut

I hope that Matt Barnes' new haircut helps improve his consistency in 3's. Personally, I have never liked the look of the faux-hawk on anyone. It just makes dudes look more metro, regardless of how manly they be. At least with Barnes, his new 'do isn't as jacked up as compared to Chad Johnson's blonde faux-hawk...LOL.
