Start Andris?

When we ended Dallas' 17 game win streak in March at the Oracle, we started Andris, and they "only" scored 100.  I don't think we can let the Mavs score more than 100 if we really want to win.  Monta's been cold, and Andris starting would allow him to warm up better defensively and stop some of those easy Howard/Ferry layups that kill us.

What do you guys thinks?  Should we alter this lineup?

P.S. I know his name's Terry but I don't like him and his dirty shoves/trash talk, I think he's cheap and overrated for playing with Howard/Dirk.

No.
I don't think it would be necessary for Nelson to put Biedrins in. This would just do what, Nelson hasn't been wanting to do the whole and thats to adjust to Johnson's lineup. The Mavericks struggle against small ball but the Warriors have just been stone cold but really, how great are they from away? Exactly. When it comes home, it is a complete different story.

Probably should
Biedrins has got great hands, well until very recently. And Harrington hasn't been doing much out there. It was good to see Andris pull down a couple of rebounds you know would have went the other way had he not been in there. I think it would be a good idea.

Yes on Biedrins
Monta is rattled - and I think he would be great off the bench in the next game. The thing is - even though Beidrins is our only true center, he's quick and can somewhat run.  That's why I think he should play.  He won't necessarily take away from our small ball style. He's a great mobile center who can actually add to that style of play with his athleticism and knack for tipping rebounds.  Biedrins and AL would be tough for Dallas' 2 bigs.

Al
Harrington is the one that's rattled. Monta had a great start, scoring 13 in the first. Al has not shown up in any games. How can u say Monta's struggling? Harrington's been to the playoffs before, so there's no reason for his recent play. If he plays like that next game, his ass should be benched.

True
Good points. I still think Ellis is out of character regardless of his 13 point first.  Just looks not himself.  Al needs to pick it up for sure.  Ellis is energy off the bench and we desperatly need Al to show up to have a chance.  Al should be benched if he doesn't show up next game - agreed.

I'm Torn
When Biedrins is in, the little horsies dont drive as much, we need that interior presence. Al has been stone cold, he just cannot get open and his shots just aren't falling. He is just being so tentative when he has the ball, there were at least 3 times when Al had Dampewww at the 3 point arc and he just threw up the hot instead of taking him on the dribble. Biedrins can run, let him, he has been amazing all season so let him play as well.JUST SHOW UP AL, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think
putting Beans in the starting line up would open up things for Al...It would be less pressure to grab a rebound or block a shot, plus this has been the Dubs starting line up before so it should not be that uncomfortable for them...monta, barnes and pietrus are energy players and perfect players to come of the bench at this point...Andris hasn't been able to provide that game changing energy in either game one or game two...i think it would be a good idea...
rubbadubdub thanx for the playoffs!!!

Start Beans in front of Al...
right now the two players that aren't producing up to par happen to be J rich and Al.  richardson at least has some positive effect on the court.  He knocks down a few shots and has been hustling.  Al has pretty much disappeared.  I think Warriors should go with Al off the bench in an attempt to get him contributing for game 4 if we lose game 3 at the very latest.  The guy needs a jumpstart.  He's one of those players that needs to score in order to increase the other components of his game.

On the flipside, putting beans in does make the big lineup that the mavs play more effective since al will stretch the floor but at this point, we need to be able to get into the mavs heads again.

Hopefully the home crowd on friday just amps the hell out of the warriors and they go berserkf on the mavs.  The dubbs feed off the homecourt like no other team in the league...

To those going on friday,  we better hear you guys on TV.

You're all just trippin.
Al's struggled the last couple of games, sure. But we lost one game. This lineup's given us success for the past month or so, no need to change.

I agree here...
we lost one game and its not a big reason to change up the lineup just b/c of the loss.

on the other hand, Al hasn't done jacksh*t the past two games.  Whether he's jacking up 3 pt shots with people in his face or he's driving to the basket out of control or he's getting out rebounded, he's not helping much out there.

I appreciate that he does work hard on the defensive end, but I would like to see them put AB to work as it seems everytime he comes in, he's getting blocked shots, rebounds on both ends and just being a plus.  He's contributed to a part of the success of the team and getting some post season PT would help him for the future.

Absolutely not
In this series, Beans does not fit well because the team would not gain anything with him out there.  His presence in a game would allow for Damp/diop/whoever to sag off the 5 and patrol the lane.  What's biendris gonna do?  Hit a 20ft jumper?  Considering how terrible his free throw shooting is, I'd rather not see him attempt that.

Meanwhile, an athletic 5 puts the pressure on the mavs to go small, where we undeniably have the advantage.

Beans is great but he just does not fit in this series at all.

LOL
diehard small ball fan.  If you haven't noticed they mavs didn't fall under the pressure and go small ball again.

With your reasoning, a team that has a true Center in the game won't play well in a series against the Mavs, so teams like the spurs, heat, and rockets won't have success against the Mavs.

The outcome on Friday's game will prove how effective or ineffective the small ball lineup will be against the Mavs.

Putting in Beans would be a bad idea
Dallas fears our matchup at the center position, you can totally see Damp/Diop panic when Al gets the ball and they clear out a side for him. Even though Al isnt producing, the threat is there and Dallas respects that. By putting Biedrins in you are taking away one of the Warriors' greatest threats and leverage. By putting in Biedrins you are letting Damp/Diop stay in the paint which will lead to more contested shots/blocks. Did anyone notice how the Warriors basically get to run a layup line when they are small?

Before the total meltdown the Warriors were in a single digit deficit, there is no need to worry, we WERE fine. As I think we will be on friday.

isn't working man!  unless al gets off, they don't care

not only is it not working, but it is working against us as Al can't play much D or Rebound

i think so
at first, i was thinking we should start beans and move monta to the bench.  harrington has not played too well at the center position.  i think there were a couple of times that he was lost and complained to nellie about this.

i looked at the game logs for each player against the mavs and harrington and beans did not have any great games against the mavs anyway, so i don't think it will matter.  but if you look at al's career stats vs the mavs, then he is actually ok.

so i say its definitely something to think about.  it's nellie's call.  nellie knows best.

no.
unless Jackson is suspended. I think we should give Foyle a shot. Who knows maybe his old age might come to use now. He plays hard and gets good rebounds. and don't forget that great shove pass he does.
