"GOLD" not "YELLOW"

Most of the media are calling the shirts at the game "YELLOW", there is no yellow here, It's "GOLD!" In the Golden State. The only things yellow in Oakland are our buses full of Hyphy fans on their way to the Oracle. Even our own local beat writers are calling it yellow. It's Golden State Warriors and Golden State of Mind, sub in with Yellow and it just sounds ridiculous.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I suppose...
But the shirts weren't really gold.  Goldenrod is the closest thing I'd call it.  Saying that the "WE BELIEVE" shirts were gold is like saying that the Golden Gate Bridge is...well...Gold, I suppose.

Not that it takes away at all from the night.  Dubs ride the yellow bus all the way to the finals!

It's yellow
Though I think the team should switch it to gold, since it matches better with midnight blue, plus it would fit the name of the team, act as a nod to another local team, and help separate us from another California b-ball team that utilizes yellow better.

I honestly don't like it when teams use yellow and insist that it's gold. If you wanna use the color, fine, just be real about it (and don't abuse it).

Gold, from Wikipedia:
The American Heritage® Dictionary defines the color gold as " A light olive-brown to dark yellow, or a moderate, strong to vivid yellow."

It's long been sports convention to call vivid yellow "gold." Cal = Blue and Gold. Pittsburgh Steelers = Black and Gold. Insisting that it should really be called "yellow" is a bit like saying that people should say "RsBI" instead of "RBIs." Correct, maybe, but a little pedantic.

That said, I don't really see the problem with anyone calling it yellow. It is, after all ... yellow.

Boy, you know things are going good in Warrior-land when this is the only thing we have to argue about. Regardless of the actual colors, I think we can all agree that this team is looking effing GOLDEN.

P.S.
It should be noted that today (Saturday in Japan) officially marks the beginning of Golden Week here on the other side of the Pacific. Coincidence? Hmm...

"Baby Puke Yellow" says 1 Dallas paper

They turned the place into a sea of baby-puke yellow, which was fitting, because it perfectly matched the Mavs' game.

Oh snap!
