Game 3 was CRAZY, my experience

it was so loud, during timeouts I would try to talk to my friend who is substantially taller than me... but he couldn't hear a word I was saying because it was so loud. the energy of the crowd was just insane. it felt great. It was crazy, the cheering was deafening when Monta got his award from Commish Stern and even during the national anthem people kept shouting "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRIORRRSS!!!" and then large sections of the crowd would cheer and drown out the national anthem. By the time tipoff started, you already knew the place was ROCKING. I was so tired but I managed to keep screaming and standing whenever something crazy happened. the crowd was LIVING in the moment. after every play you could hear the crowd's reaction. it seemed like the crowd was jumping up and down after every warrior-made basket, I know I was. I lost my voice by the end of the game and I fell asleep on BART because I was so tired from all the cheering, booing, and standing ovations, not to mention all the dancing around I did when Jrich/Baron/any warrior made a crazy basket.

People were so tired that when it came time during timeouts for the free tshirts/pizza, where you have to cheer to get a tshirt or pizza, not as much people were into it as they usually are during the season. everyone was holding out their energy for the actual game. I was hella cracking up about that.

I watched the game later at night on ESPN, it seems nowhere near as loud or crazy as it actually was at the arena. there were times when you really couldnt hear ANYTHING, not the refs' whistles, NOTHING. Like I didnt even know there were three technicals until I saw Baron/Jax shooting them. Thats how loud it was, you couldnt hear the whistles. the atmosphere was AWESOME and the vibe was just great.

there was a buzzkill moment when some drunk dudes  a row infront of me accidentally spilt beer on some dude infront of them and the dude went psycho and started yelling "F--- You" like a million times, and then the guys next to me were backing up the drunk dudes and the guy who got beer spilt all over him started F-bombing the guys next to me too and I thought everyone was ready to throw down (these are all Warriors fans) but then the guy eventually left to get cleaned up. but yeah, total buzzkill moment, we are all supposed to be Warriors fans UNITED!

I'd have to say, this is the BEST NBA experience I have EVER had. And I was part of the crowd that witnessed the Phoenix massacre towards the end of the season when our "new" starting lineup (in the City jerseys) DOMINATED a stacked Phoenix lineup. I thought the arena was crazy then. I had no idea.

For the first Warriors home playoff game in 12 seasons, the Warriors sure knew how to please their starved, most-loyal-fans-in-all-of-the-NBA. Complete DOMINATION of the "best team" in the NBA and an AWESOME fan-experience to go with it.

good recap
Man, the fans were incredible last night. The ESPN commentators were saying how loud it was and if "the NBA gave out awards for the most standing ovations." Awesome.

crazy fandimonium
last night's crowd was a whole 'nother level compared to any crowd i have witnessed this season or for the last 5 seasons that have been semi-regularly attending gsw games...

my buddy also remarked that the crowd used to get the loudest during the timeouts(for pizza and t-shirts), but yeah we could care less about that bs last night.

i
saw the game on tv and it was amazing seeing how pumped up the crowd was. The announcers wouldn't stop talking about it. I know what you mean though about tv not doing the crowd justice, they got really good mics or something so it cancels out most of the crowd noise. Thats why I've allways liked watching the games on FSN, they are more low budget so i guess their setup aint as good so you can hear the crowd a lot better.

I'll be there on Sunday, hopefully we can be just as energized. If we play like we played on friday then I expect the crowd to get even louder on Sunday.

Thanks for sharing your moment...
...I have goosebumps from reading it! Sadly, I was forced to watch on TV, but you guys were just as crazy and loud as I had expected and beyond. The announcers kept talking about the croud all game long. Best fans in all of sports!!! Now I'm gonna try and hawk some jewelry to get my ass to game 4.

i gave up
talking to my husband, he could never hear anything i said.  The game was emotionally and physically (for my voice from screaming and hands from clapping before thunder stix arrived) draining, but it was def worth it.  The couple that sits next to us had "The Bodyguard" shirts with Baron on the front and "We Believe" on the back.  They liked Kenny's nickname for him.

Amazing
I was in the upper deck, and from experience, I know it isnt as loud on top as it is on the lower levels...but STILL, it was the loudest thing I have ever been too in my life. I got goosebumps probablly at 10 different times during the game. I DVR'd the game, so I will watch it again just to hear what the commentators say...probablly tonight while I light one up. YEE!!

talking about pizza?
People were so tired that when it came time during timeouts for the free tshirts/pizza, where you have to cheer to get a tshirt or pizza, not as much people were into it as they usually are during the season. everyone was holding out their energy for the actual game. I was hella cracking up about that

Seriously, it would seem that if we want these home games, the crowd has go to be a factor, and it's like the fans are WILLING the Dubbs to victory. In games I went to earlier this year fans would be cheering louder for pizza. We're talking about one free pizza for every 2,000 heads. I can't even smell the anchovies.

Last night was different. During those freebie time outs I had to take a step back to catch my breath and it was amazing to witness the fans in a sea of gold. This may seem really silly but I felt really proud to be a Warrior fan and for some reason, the long wait out of the playoffs seemed worth it but now I'm just hungry for more.

I was in the upper deck but we were all riled up in my section. Even the 50+ year old lady sitting behind me was all up on her feet hooting and hollerin.

Personally, I think EVERY TIME Dallas touches the ball we have the whole arena go into a collective OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH like in college b-ball games to get into the opponents heads. ESPECIALLY ON FREE THROWS. The let's go D-fense sounds ominous as well but b/c there are so many fans and the arena is huge, it sounds pretty hard to get a collective chant going.

Last night = unforgettable. Wish I was going to Sunday's game. For those who are going, cheer hard!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I aint trippin about the score, I'm already having a great time out!
