No luck for the east coast warriors either

Caron Butler has a broken hand, basically out for the playoffs, and during the Bobcats game, Gerald Wallace went into Arenas' knee. He could be out for the playoffs as well. Not a good time to be a Warriors fan, on both sides of the United States.

He was just standing there, settling into rebounding position as Gerald Wallace drove baseline. When Wallace threw up one of those incredible, off-balance reverse layups, he crashed inadvertently into the left leg of the Washington Wizards' point guard.

Down went Agent Zero. And with him, perhaps, the Wizards' hopes of achieving much of anything in the playoffs this season.

Lets face it...
once butler went down, their hopes of doing anything past the first round was pretty much shot down.  I don't think the Wizards are that great, even for east coast standards.  With Arenas out, they probably aren't winning any games... but the eastcoast teams are weak, anything can happen.

Now the Wizards are just like the Warriors...
No big inside presence, Butler has a broken hand injury similar to Jrich, their best player,PG, team leader has a messed up knee now just like Baron does.  sucks to be them or the GSW

Except
Baron and JRich are healthy now ... and starting to get a little synergic mojo going. Plus we have more talent outside those two than Washington does. If we can sneak into the playoffs (yeah, big if) I could easily see us taking Dallas to 6 or 7 games.

Totally sucks for Arenas, though ... and so fluky. Not only does it scuttle any hopes the Wiz might have had for a playoff run, but, on a Fantasy note, it pretty much ends all hopes I had of catching the cheater currently leading the GSoM Fantasy league. I mean, talk about a great Fantasy day for him ...

He has a scant 78 point lead over me
He has Gerald Wallace (a $7M player)
I have Gilbert Arenas ($10M)

Wallace is always capable of monster nights, but he's also pretty inconsistent. I gotta figure that matchup will end up somewhere close to even. So what happens? Not only does he outscore me 64.5 to 1.5 in the matchup (Wallace has his second straight monster night, outscoring everyone else in the NBA by 15 points) but his guy flies into my guy's knee, ending his season, forcing me to burn my last precious trade, and basically knocking me out of the race.

Man, Fantasy Hoops is a frigging killer. I think after this season, Sleepy Freud may have to hang it up. For one thing, if my wife catches me analyzing basketball boxscores one more time, I may have to spend a month in the doghouse...
