Conan O'Brien gives props to the Warriors

Late Night with Conan O'Brien is spending this week in San Francisco (perfect timing, eh?), and he got the crowd going early the first night by acknowledging the team's recent success in the monologue. The joke was a bit lame, though: he said the slogan before "We Believe" was "We're one of several teams of the NBA". Later on in the night Dana Carvey teased him about the Knicks.

Any other Conan fans here?

Im just too caught up with the dubs I only found out he was here yesterday!!!  Hopefully our dubs finish off the mavs tomorrow so I can make plans to go to the Orpheum and see the show.

I guess the dubs has truly arrived. :)  I remember seeing Dana Carvey in a warrior game against Philly years back..

Consie!
Yeah, the Warriors remarks were kinda forced, but hey, another shoutout doesn't hurt! Frankly I preferred the intentionally forced "Small Talk Moment" about the traffic mess, I finally completely understood one of those! (Hehe, those hybrid sticker carpoolers)

I still can't believe I didn't get tickets to any of the five shows, requested them the first day he announced he was coming. :(

Love Conan
He's like 5-6 years older than me, and his hometown is right across the river from mine. I always think of him as what it would be like if one of my dorky friends from high school had hit it big -- well, semi-big -- in showbiz. Somehow after all these years, he still seems to be the same down-to-earth guy.

I give the joke a B+. Not his best, but funnier than anything Jay Leno's said in the last 20 years...

agreed...
after every joke, Leno is practically waiting for the audience to respond to the flashing "applause" sign to go on.
