show our support for Fisher in Game 3&4
if you are lucky enough to be going to the upcoming home games, let's make sure we show our support for the struggling warriors. namely monta ellis and michael pietrus. if this series is going the distance, we cannot afford to lose baron davis to fatigue. monta won't be able to guard deron williams, but deron certainly won't be able to slow down monta either. i would love to hear a loud chant for monta ellis whenever he gets the opportunity to play, the kid's confidence level is at an all-time low, he desperately needs some encouragement.
i wasn't suprised when michael missed both critical free throws; then again, i wouldn't be surprised if he had made both free throws either. my expectation of him sums up the type of player he is at the moment. inconsistent and inexperienced. we needed his size to collect much needed rebounds and play that scrappy defense; otherwise, coach would not have left an inconsistent free throw shooter in the game under those circumstances. let's show him some loyal support.
now finally, most importantly, to those of you who plan on attending game 3 or 4, if derek fisher makes the trip out here with the jazz, let's give him a loud standing ovation. i know we're not supposed to cheer for opposing players, but if there's a time to disregard that cardinal rule, i'd do it for mr. fisher and his family. go warriors!
This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

What?
He is a great role player. The Warriors would be much better off if they still had him

Dee Brown got injured playing...
we can all feel for Derek privately, but let's not get crazy here and schedule a lovefest for an opposing player in deciding games of the playoffs. Baron's apparently been dealing privately with something his sister's going through. is he getting cheered at away games for this? these guys all have an inordinate amount of hardship in their personal lives at times. not everyone's is turned into a national story by TNT and ESPN.com. let's pray hard for the health of Fisher's daughter, but take it easy on the public display of fanship.

It would show lots of class to give Fisher a standing ovation ( and then beat his ass soundly!! )

GIVE FISHER A STANDING OVATION...
D-FISH will defend and flop, so BARON's gotta watch out! He did it when he was a LAKER (and I hated him for it) and he did it as a WARRIOR (and I loved him for it)! He's a spot up shooter, but he's a tricky veteran, so I hope the REFS don't get suckered into giving him calls because he's got personal problems! Who doesn't have personal problems?!
I feel for him and his family and I hope his daughter is okay and going to recover 100%, but it'll be ON at the ORACLE tomorrow night!!!
