Five Things You Hate About MP2

Over the course of the year i've watch closely hoping he would improve himself. However he didn't, which made matter worst for him.  Plus during the playoff's ever time I seen him in the game i was hoping he wouldn't do anything stupid.  But he did and it cost the Warriors. Here's my top five reason's why i hate MP2 and hope he won't get resigned.

  1. No handles
  2. Can't hit clutch free throws
  3. Does stupid fouls then looks like he did nothing wrong
  4. Can't Hit Jump Shot's
  5. Can't even hit three pointers anymore
Also Jerry Stackhouse is a free agent this off season think we can get him for cheap?  His a great bench player

baseline
mp2 is supposed to have this atleast decent baseline 3 spot and I have seen him hit that spot probly one out of about 100 times this year, ok maybe a little exaggeration but still

yea
he often looks lost out there.. but one thing i like about him is that he aint scared to attack the rim.. i remember in the dallas series he almost posterized stackhouse's grill if he didn't miss the dunk.. other than that your top 5 is on point.. i also hope he doesn't get resigned so we could have a chance to see azubuike get some minutes
That pass was magic johnson-esque

How about
non-existent basketball IQ?

by semarubaka on May 16, 2007 11:34 AM PDT reply actions

IQ
Didn't see any notion of that from MP...Thanks for the 3's though... I wouldn't miss him if they didn't bring him back.. It'll open the door for        Kelenna Azubuike, baby!!! He has more basketball IQ then MP for sure!
ALL G-DUB!

Actually...
MP2's baseline trey is pretty solid...He shot 39% from downtown this season, much better than Baron, and even better than JRich...

but it's way too soon after a great season for me to hate on any of the Warriors. Right now I love them all so I'll leave this thread alone...

he doesnt even know how to...
dribble...when he catches the ball, he always takes a step back then dribbles and goes forward...he either gets a travel call or steps out of bounds

most do this
Most NBA players step back first. In fact I saw Jax do this last night. Most NBA players didn't learn fundamentals growing up. They were so atheletic didn't need them growing up. This pisses me off that he does this, but 60-80% of NBA players that aren't point guards do this.

C'mon guys
He has a lot of bad points but he's had his good points. Let's not make him another Dunleavy. He's played good and bad for us just like everyone else on our team. He just happend to pick inopportune times.

You'll be back.

what i hate
is that he hasn't improved on any of those things. i could accept it if it was his first or second year, but he should be past a lot of those things by now. also i would love to bring crackhouse aboard. i think he could be a solid bench presence.

the best move mullin has made...
was not signing pietrus to a contract extension last year. that is really all there is to be said about this player and since i have read it all here before, i will trust all of the good and bad things will be covered in length here. not even an interesting argument...

still, i wonder what mullin will do about baron saying he wants a 4 year $90MM extension this offseason? can the warriors hope to compete with a contract to 1 player that size?

by stedanko on May 16, 2007 12:38 PM PDT reply actions

hope
Pray that Mullin actually learned something from Foyle...and Fisher...and Dunleavy...and Murphy...

by GameSix on May 16, 2007 1:21 PM PDT up reply actions

NOPE
Warriors can't compete if they give Baron that much money.

For those who say they're competing now with Baron's massive salary on the books, you're ignoring one major thing: Biedrins and Monta are still in their rookie contracts.

Signing Biedrins for about $10 million/year is necessary. I'm still unsure about Ellis. But either way, the Warriors cant extend Baron and still hope to contend.

by TotallyWasted on May 16, 2007 1:58 PM PDT up reply actions

He didn't
Baron isn't asking for a "4 year $90MM extension this offseason?" He said he wanted an extension, he did say anything about wanting a max deal.

as i stated very early in the season...
what i cannot watch is his ball-in-hands confusion mode, wherein watching him in the open court gives you the feeling he might not be sure what uniform he's wearing (among other things). I'd so much prefer to see Kelena taking his minutes. He plays smarter defense and has a much greater grasp on basketball fundamentals. MP makes me think he's a converted soccer player with incredible athleticism (he'd probably be a freakishly disgusting soccer player) -- but I question his grasp on the nuances / culture of basketball. I hope we hang on to kazabuki.

MP2 for Old man from Oakland Gary Payton
Do it!

I hope GP doesn't come back to the Bay when he's 40+

Although that trade loses size, age, rebounding, points per game, and 3 point percentage.

mp2
does not know how to pump fake. When he tries, he usually turns it over.

MP
I have nicknamed him Pee-brain Pietrus enough said.

by Dopey on May 16, 2007 6:52 PM PDT reply actions

5 reasons I love MP2
  1. Rebounding and blocks. Plays so much bigger than he actually is.
  2. The Corner 3
  3. Our only truly tenacious man to man defender
  4. Elevation Sensation
  5. He's a warrior, and I cant logically hate anyone on the warriors. (dunleavy is an exception)
i thought i knew but i had no idea
