Game 5 foul stats

To back up what everyone else said, THANK YOU WARRIORS!!! thank you for the incredible season, i've never been this sad at the end of a season, and that's a good thing.

On to game 5...I will not blame a game on the refs, but like many, I felt like this game was unfairly called: A 5 minute scan over the play-by-play agreed with my sense of foul discrepency...while I know Utah pounded the ball in more often, these statistics cannot be avoided...

For the game:
Technical Fouls:
GSW - 2
Utah - 0

Personal Fouls:
GSW - 31
Utah - 19

1st half:
GSW: 10
Utah: 11

2nd half:
GSW: 21
Utah: 8

And the most incredible statistic, in the decisive 4th quarter...
4th quarter personal fouls:
GSW: 11
Utah: 2

All that can be said, has been said.  Thank You Capers, Mauer, and Salvatore for making it an exciting, 8 on 5 affair.
Thank you Golden State for the best season of my life.

yeah
I guess Stern was really mad we upset Dallas, since that wasn't supposed to happen after the reseeding.

What the..@#$%%^???

Since when did officiating become making judgement calls based upon reputation rather than calling fouls????

Someone ought to look at this...I say check the financials on the refs...lets monitor their cash flow...see who's sending their kids to college...!
I smell smoke...and if I had the money...I would hire a PI!!

Inspite of the clearly biased officiating it was a close game...and anyone who knows basketball know how rigged this whole thing was!!!

Warriors ARE the better team..Utah did an amazing job...but had we made our shots...we wont be sitting here complaining about the officiating!!!

Go Dubs!!

Hustle box score
hurt to me the most since it could have overcome whatever officiating going on. Don't let the refs decide the game, decide it by making your shots.

25 Utah turnovers and only 4 points off those turnovers, many, many missed opportunities by not taking care of the ball, slowing down, making the shot -remembering to bring the ball with you on that first step.

They had 21 points off of 16 turnovers by the Warriors.

i totally agree!
i know we're used to getting no respect from the refs, but i thought the officiating in this series was HORRID.  Yet, we had a shot to win every one of those games in spite of it.  That's what made tonight's loss so tough.  Oh well.  Am i the only one who feels emotionally drained from W's playoff basketball?

you're not the only one
This playoff run probably took 5 years off my life, but it was more than worth it.

wow
Did the quadratic formula just explode or something? I can take that the Dubs fouled more than the Jazz, but that discrepancy is a bit big to be reasonable.

the refs didn't help
 - because they never do - but neither did our shooting. so it goes. for this year, we ran out the string. for next year, manifest the destiny.

damn
what was up with that AK47 Foul on barnes when he had that WIDE open layup! and then fisher grabs and rolls around and doesnt get called for a travel. that was a huge turning point that the refs gave to the jazz

eh
officiating blew chunks the entire series.  We still had a chance to win though.  It was an emotional run into the playoffs and even the first/second rounds.  Our guys plays hard, but they just ran outta gas and our inexperience also came into play.  It's been a great season tho!  I can't wait till next season.

This will be
the most boring and ugly series in the post season...BUT, whoever wins this series will win the NBA Finals...I seriously don't wanna see Jerry Sloan get one before Nellie...

We have a reputation
Since SJax has a pending trial next month, B-Diddy loves showing off, Macramento Barnes has a faux-hawk and tatoos, and Air France is French, our Warriors are the targets of bad calls. Not to mention our long 13 year drought of not making the playoffs, the refs can simply mask their biased officiating with our lack of playing well in close games. Utah plays hella physical, but has "non-thuggish" players on their team. Refs sees this as a way to reward them with ticky-tack foul calls and benefit of doubt fouls. Since we have a hot-head in SJax, they felt that anything he does on the court will result in a technical foul. Same goes for any of the Warriors. Also, B-Diddy is being targeted since he's 2 techs away from warranting himself a suspension. Refs love to pick on us. They should have let the game flow. Hate to see us lose like this. Congrats Utah for winning a "close" game. By the way, Salvatore and Mauer were both the refs who have tossed out B-Diddy and S-Jax. Coincidence? I think not...LOL.
