Which candidate are the dubs?

this is a pretty interesting article by Jack McCallum. He compares each of the teams in the playoffs to a democratic presidential candidate

Dallas Mavericks=Hillary Clinton

The target everyone was gunning for from the beginning. No-nonsense and business-like, both candidate and team have a strong male figure behind the throne, one named Bill, one named Mark. As with Hillary, it was the Mavs' to lose ... and they just might lose it.

Golden State Warriors=Mike Gravel

Unorthodox and even a little scary, both are trying to overcome the odds with offense.

Cool, the warriors can knock of Hillary, she was against grand theft auto, and i love my grand theft auto. on an interesting note, the Pistons are Barack Obama Link: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2007/writers/jack_mccallum/05/01/playoffs.politics/index.html

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

Lol nice link

We must increase the use of special drug courts in which addicted offenders are given the opportunity to complete court supervised substance abuse treatment instead of being sentenced to prison. We must eliminate mandatory minimum sentencing laws. We must increase the use of alternative penalties for nonviolent drug offenders. Drug defendants convicted of nonviolent offenses should not be given mandatory prison sentences. We should emphasize the criminalization of the importers, manufacturers, and major distributors, rather than just the street venders. Prisons in this country should be a legitimate criminal sanction -- but it should be an extension of a fair, just and wise society.

That's what his website says....besides, he'd never get it passed.

This Might Be Obscure
I'd compare this series to the 2006 Senate race in Virginia.  The Mavericks are George Allen, the consensus favorite and potential candidate for president.  He campaigned as if the election was a formality.

The Warriors, of course, are James Webb, the scrappy  common sense candidate who had complete psychological ownership of Allen on the way to a shocking victory.

Still annoyed that we drafted Tod Fuller
