Randolph

Now that Portland has #1, in all likelihood, they'll be taking Durant.

I hear Portland fans HATE Randolph, and want him traded. I don't know his contract info and all, but I think he'd be a solid pick up for the Ws. He's not too great on defense, but we've seen what he can do in the post.

Your thoughts?

Portland is taking
Oden. No question. An organization like Portland isn't going to pass up Oden. No way.

Randolph
has the  post skills but won't play defense and probably can't keep with the w's pace. Portland potentially has the next twin towers with oden and aldridge.

if you're thinking
of trading for randolph. forget it. he's way too fat, especially for nellies system.

No thanks
It seems like every October, we're hearing about how Zach Randolph has shown up to camp out of shape and overweight. If he ended up on the Warriors, he could show up in mid-season form, and he'd STILL be 15 to 20 pounds heavier than what Nellie would want.

I'd be fine with Mully making a run for Aldridge though...

Last I checked, Randolph plays NO defense
still he'd be a huge upgrade at PF. He's crafty, and is good for a double double on any given night. He's also a pretty good free throw shooter.

He demands 20 shots a game
though. Don't feel confident he'd give up touches for the betterment of the team.

He's the Blazers' workhorse right now until Aldridge and in all likelyhood Oden get going.

True that. Randolph can be a black hole on offense
Kind of like our old big nosed friend Troy Murphy.

i would rather
trade for the other portland big man Lamarcus Aldridge. He seems like a nice guy with lots of talent.

Blazers Prediction
I see the Blazers taking Oden No. 1 overall and unloading a lot of their centers to accommodate for him. I believe Randolph will stay on their team until someone's actually stupid enough to take him. LaMarcus Aldridge will likely start at the power forward position and Jamaal Magloire will help Greg Oden ease into the starting center spot within 10 games. If Portland still believes in Zack Randolph, I'd say try to trade for Aldridge. It's worth a shot to get ourselves a young post player who can block and rebound with ease.

kidding right?
NO WAY is Portland keeping Zach when they have LaMarcus waiting in the wings. Zach has 2 years left with portland..tops.

I don't expect Portaland to give up Aldridge...
I mean...wow...if they end up picking Oden...a Oden/Adridge combination can be quite a force for many many years to come!!!!

i would
i love LOVE to have randolph in a warriors uniform, i trust that nellie could really get the best out of him. hes a low post scorer, could put a body on people, i know his d isnt great, but hes still a young kid. he has never had a coach like nellie who will give him freedom and hopefully get the best out of him.

problem- he makes the max. i like zebo, but not for that money. i agree with the above comments about his weaknesses, and wouldnt want to take a chance on him making max money.

remember
how everyone talked crap about baron (and they had a  point) saying he was a coach killer, jacked up way too many 3's, couldnt lead a team- diddy got a coach he respects and trusts and we see the results. the same can happen with randolph.
