Warriors can go ALL THE WAY ... IF

The Phoenix Suns can take down the mighty San Antonio Spurs.  Like everyone else is saying, the Warriors are the hottest team in the league now.  None of the remaining teams - other than the Spurs - should scare the Warriors.  I think the Ws can absolutely hang tough with anyone in the West and the East!  Hopefully, Baron can get some rest and get healthy along with Barnes and any other Warrior who's banged up.  If Baron is  90-95% I like our chances to go all the way like in 1975!  Baron will play the role of  Superstar Rick Barry! Jackson will play the role our other future Hall of Famer Keith Wilkes.

Involving, Utah and Houston, I think the Ws can handle both though the Jazz would be less tough than the Rocket's combo of Yao and McGrady.  I think the Ws can match Phoenix' firepower though Stoudamire and the Matrix are awesome and of course Nash.  In the East the Ws can bang with Chicago, Detroit, et all!

I'm just wary of the Spurs.  Tim Duncan, Ginobili, Tony Parker... did I forget to mention Tim Duncan again?!  I'm very wary of those guys.  For some reason, the Spurs are to  the Warriors what the Ws were to the Dallas Mavs: their worst matchup nightmare. Why is that?

Go Warriors!   The Ws can go all the way!   Can the Suns take care of the Spurs, though?  If not, bring the Spurs on too!

Maybe, the basketball gods are with us after 13 years of our playoff basketball drought! Kirk

I've been thinking really hard about this
and I agree with you Kirk. Warriors can hang in there with EVERY team in this league... with the exception being the Spurs. Spurs are just too good. I like GSWs chances for... going far (maybe all the way?) this postseason.

Root for Phoenix, but
if Andris keeps stepping up the way he did last night without foul trouble, we'll give even the spurs headaches.  But we'd have to be hitting on all cylinders (like the Al cylinder and the Pietrus cylinder) because the Spurs will just keep parading fresh bodies off the bench.

I'm trying so hard not to keep going over the route to a championship in my mind.

The spurs would be the toughes opponent for
G-State, but if the Dubs play like they've been playing, then Even the Spurs cannot win a series against them.  One sign is the last rs game between these teams.  GS had played th night before, and the spurs had not, and the game was at San Antone.  In spite of all these things GS was not blown out, and looked like a team that would have won an even game.  And You know that Jax would love to beat the team that offered hyim such a small contract after he helped them win a c-ship in 2003 that it was clear they had decided to go with other players, and that then forced him to spend a year proving himself in Atlanta.
Whle Duncan has a much better post game than Nowitzki, He is like Newitzki in that his greatest strength is that he is so much quicker than other big men, and like Nowitzki he will be slowed down, and will be held well below his averages by the Dubs defense.  And Baron can do the same thing to Tony Parker.  Yes the spurs have other scorers but these two cary the spurs and slowing them down will give GS the opening they need.  San Antone will also be able to slow the Dubs offense, but not enough to win a series, though maybe enough to make a series go 6 or 7 games.

Yeah, you may have something there.
But, I'm sorry.  You can't compare a champion like Tim Duncan to Dirk.  The thing with Dirk is, maybe he's too nice a guy and he definitely can't make his teammates better with just a sweet jumper.  Duncan's power game and the quickness of Parker and Ginobili frustrated the Warriors for as long as I can remember.  yeah, the Ws will be competitive but until the Ws get a power forward who can guard Duncan and unless Baron is at 100%, they should not be overconfident against these Spurs.

Actually, the Jazz have a pretty deep bench too.
Not really sure who the Ws should face now. Either the Rockets or the Jazz?

bring in whoever
WE ARE GOING TO THE FINALS if our guys remain healthy. I am not getting carried away. they picked DALLAS to be in the finals. if we can beat the top notch team, we can sure destroy the rest.

I BELIEVE!!
actually, i think they can win the championship now.  the worst is
over, they beat the best team in the nba, and after this the teams are
not as good.  playoffs is all about matchups and the only team that is
the warriors kryptonite is the spurs.  they can beat houston, they can
beat phoenix, they can beat detroit.

if you think about it, this is the best warriors team assembled in the
last 13 years.  they have depth and they have it at a low price.
sometime soon, we may have to give up jrich or baron to keep this team
together.  when ellis and biedrins' contracts expire, they will demand
a lot of money.  so...u better cheer for the warriors now!

bottom line is this warriors team can get a lot farther than you
think.  you just gotta believe...BELIEVE NOW!!  it's time to raise the expectation level, and hope for a championship now.

the hard truth to all warrior fans
mostly basketball is about matchups and honestly, I KNOW that the Warriors are one of the few teams that can outplay the MAVS... other being maybe Suns and Spurs.  HOWEVER, its like a triangle as i believe the suns could beat the mavs, but the spurs can beat the suns, and the MAVS can beat the spurs.
TO ALL OF YOU WHO THINK THE SPURS WILL BE NO PROBLEM: just wait and see.  I dont know how they do it but they ALWAYS find a way to stop their opponents strategy which will stop them completely. Other than the mavs, bcuz i feel we can beat them, they WILL find a way. but the suns will be tough in which yall coouldnt beat the suns either
