Jackson

This is my first diary and what i saw in the game yesturday mad me a bit mad. Im starting to get mad because everytime he trys to post up, no matter what the outcome is he always argues with the reffs. I knoe its important to show emotion but its getting kind of ridiculous of him always talking n talking. he got to just play the game. i thinkk if he were moree focused n stopped arguing, more of his shots would be falling especially the last three of the game.

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

i don't like the arguing but
i always remember that i'd rather have a player who gets mad at the officials rather then his teammates and also i'd rather have jack then murphleavy

Truth
Jax is stubborn and he will never change. I wish too he could temper his oubursts. However, that stubborness is what makes him a great defensive player, and a player that is not scared to make plays at critical times.  We need to be happy that we finally have a player other than Baron and J-Rich that leave it all out on the floor for a win and intimidates the other team.
How many years have we watched players on this team not care  and give zero fear to the hearts of our opponents? (Dunleavy headlines a forgettable cast) Now we have one that argues vociferously about every bad call.  IMO Jax draws a substantial amount of contact often when he beats his man off the dribble, and gets calls about 1/4 of the time.
Jackson embodies what these warriors are: tough, scrappy, emotional, resiliant, bold and erratic.  He is far from perfect, but that to me is what makes him and the warriors interesting. With Jax I will gladly take the good with the bad. If not for Stephen Jackson we would be discussing our late lottery pick right now and not dissecting his interaction with referees in the western conference semifinals.

also nothing new
he did the same thing in Indy, and in addition to all his other extra curriculars, is part of why they were willing to see him ship out in exchange for our former choir boys ... bloody lot o'good that did Pacers!

Dunn complained all the time too
He complained about calls, he complained about his teammates, he complained about sucking . . . Ok, so the last one was the fans.

I think whatever emotional problem Jackson has, helps him on defense (except when he's at the other end of the floor complaining) and also perform in pressure situations. He doesn't get scared, he gets aggressive. I'll take it. Even if he eventually get's himself suspended for a game or for the playoffs. It was worth it.

What did the Dave Twardzik, post-Spreewell-a-phobia, bring in B.J. Armstrong and other good citizens get us? I'll take this.

no argument
I'd've make that trade any day - whether or not we made the playoffs it was the right move (I was on record early and often) ... and Dun was a whiner no doubt.

i was less discontent
when he knocked down those seven threes.
but you take the good with the bad and hope for a little improvement here and there.

Jax
is gonna have a monster game tomorrow.  This guy is a true Warrior.  He plays with a chip on his shoulder and always bounces back the next game.  Had a fairly decent game last night, just a couple silly turnovers here and there.  I say he goes for at least 25 points, 5 boards and 5 dimes.  We were out rebounded by 18 and only lost by 4!  A couple more possessions and we could of had that game.  I like our chances tomorrow.  Go Dubz!

Jackson
I agree I think Jackson will have a big game tommrow too. He may go a little over board on the officals but I think that is what makes him play though D and go hard to the hole. My only complaint is sometimes he seems to do things out of the offense. I feel he tends to hog the ball a little but too much. But with that said I dont think we would be where we are without him, so you take the good with the bad I guess.

Its not just the complaining
itself but the fact that he doesn't get back on D that is upsetting.

Also he was blocked like 7 times the other night but this I can sort of forgive under the "take the good with the bad" comment.  The other stuff I think he can tone down if he wanted to

IF
If he had hit the go-ahead three pointer with under 10 seconds to go, I think you'd overlook some of his moments.  Although he does seem to do it often, it's good gamesmanship to call out a ref when he feels he was fouled.  Sloan does it a lot and it pays off in getting questionable calls turned to his favor later in the game.

Wow, if he made that shot, though..
