Mavs considering Barnes?

Damn, that might be looked upon as treason from a Warrior fan's point of view.  Just the mere suggestion of it shocked the hell out of me.

It's a small sentence, but i read it here:

if they can't beat him...
they'll be trying to get Baron, next.
Left hand, right hand, it doesn't matter. I'm amphibious.

Don't go Barnes.
I don't think he would do that to the team that gave him his career back.

one of the nine teams?
That'd be awkward. Barnes put the proverbial nail in the coffin in Game 4 with his 3.

Well...
24k state fan,

Actually, Avery went from GS to San Antonio (so they stole him away...he won a championship there), then he went to Dallas before GS "stole" him back from the Mavericks.

Jamison left GS to play with Dallas and become a playoff player for the first time ever...he also went on to win 6th man of the year in Dallas...so he did better in Dallas then GS (numbers wise).

Dampier also has better numbers with Dallas (3 years) then he did with GS (7 years)...he made more than 62% of his shots this year...that never happened in GS.

I do believe those are the only players who have made that transition...just those three players...well two really.

Matt Barnes probably will stay with GS (he seems rather loyal...unless they don't pay him what he thinks he deserves) but the reason A SPORTS WRITER (not anyone in any position to talk about Dallas' interests) says he is needed is because he is a "gritty" player, something many people think that team needs. No one official has come out to say anything about Barnes...

Double Barnes' Salary
I would hope that would entice Barnes to stay with us or at least give Barnes 2.5 times more than his 1 year contract. Let Pietrus go to wherever. I wonder how much is Cuban offering to Barnes. If he gets quadruple his salary, then I bid Barnes adieu.

Well...
Well, I hear he only got $700,000+ for this year...that's pocket change and REALLY low for someone who has played in the league for at least 4 years...if Cuban (or any other team) offers him anywhere in the 3-5 million range and GS does not...he just might leave...
