please not jrich

jrich's loyalty is the reason we believe. its the reason he plays so good. he's not a superstar, he's only jrich.

why cant you see that the reason that good players like jrich, play for the fans of california, and put their hearts into every game they play in a warriors uni.

i can sit here and say that YI will never have as much heart as jrich, because jason richardson loves the game of basketball, and he loves oakland, something that most people never become accustomed to.

many people talk of how jrich's game is limited ha, find a guard who can rebound like jrich, and also score at the same time, the athleticism priceless...

trade jrich for monta's sake?. monta will have his chance when baron goes down again, or when jackson gets called to court, or even when jrich has an off day. we got rid of dfish to let monta get a turn, NO REASON to turn on jrich.

I cant believe that such loyal golden state warrior fans would turn their backs to such great fan of US just to win.

Woah, woah.
Was all this really necessary? It ain't like the guy is gonna get traded for sure. Everything is hearsay. Honestly I don't think he'll be traded. Mullin values J-Rich for what he is. Something that apparently all these fans don't do.

well in all fairness it sure as hell seems that way with every rumor about the Warriors and Yi regard Jason Richardson.

I would NOT like it at all and I do see it happening so I am afraid as well.

I am also tried of everyone talking bout jrich getting trade and all this jrich is my favorite warrior.  I cant see him wearing anything else besides a dub jersey. Come the 28th we will know wassup with all this draft day madness. Lets cross our fingers for our favorite warrior to stay a warrior.
Lets go Warriors!!!!!

Everyone needs to chill out...
no one wants to see JR go but for the right reasons he is tradeable. For yi? I dont know its such a big gambe for an unknown...reminds me of the richmond trade. Plus when he is healthy JR is damn good and has a great game outside of ball handling (he isnt that bad of a defender... see dunleavy)

For a proven big man you have to move him but we wont get a proven big for him so he probably wont be moving.

I root for the laundry
You root for the laundry.
We all root for the laundry.

We lost Gilbert Arenas, the "heart of the team" and a better player than JRich, and we all got over it eventually. I have to admit, it took me a while in GA's case, but that was partly because we just LOST him, with no compensation, because of a totally unjust rule.

As dallaswarrior says, no one wants to see JR go. But ... if somehow Mullin were able to move him for a better player -- say Pierce or Josh Smith or Gerald Wallace or any of the other 50-60 guys in the NBA who are better than J-Rich -- he'd have to do it. It's his job to make the team better. Period.

Yeah, I'd be sad for a little while, but I'd get over it. So would everyone on this site.

OVERRATED
Wallace is OVERRATED! If he comes to GS he will choke and lose games for us! He would suck vs all the great Fowards in the Western Conference!

Since you keep posting this
I'll repost my reply:

Overrated by who?

Wallace is 24 (a year and a half younger than JRich), and coming off a year in which he shot over 50% from the floor, and averaged 18.1 pts, 7.2 reb, 2.6 ast, 1.0 blk and 2.0 stl, in 36.7 minutes. His last two years' PER are 21.3 and 19.8, both better than JRich has ever managed in is career. He loves to run the floor, take it to the rim strong, and defend, all things which would serve him extremely well in Nellieball.

Despite all this, Wallace is hardly ever discussed outside of total hoops-nerd venues like this one. So how exactly is he overrated?

Meanwhile, you'd rather have ... Adam Morrison, he of the 37% FG, non-existent defense, and 7.9 PER.

Whatever you say, hoops genius.

trade j rich
he averages 16 points a game, there are a 100 other players in the nba that could do that,
yes he has nice dunks and is entertaining, and thats the only reason u want him, if u got a player like zach randolph, he could do the same get 16 points if not more and 10 rebs, but its not as fun watching a big man spin and lay the  ball in,

jrich has done nothing for this team and does not deserve to be called a star, he just take up playing time, get yi instead

JRich
has done nothing for this team? That's pure bull, man. We never claimed him really as a star, but dont talk saying he hasnt done anything for us.

by WarriorFanForLife on Jun 21, 2007 8:50 AM PDT up reply actions

i know your a bull fan
but that was um only this season hes been averaging 20 something for the past couple seasons. and why do you say all that stuff when you want him on the bulls? so you want a shitty player according to your standards to your team?

dude
if jason wasnt injured for most of the season, im sure his stats would be way better that 16 points a game. more like 20 to 25 points a game just how much he averaged in the playoffs

by GSwarrior on Jun 21, 2007 3:30 PM PDT up reply actions

19.1 ppg
JRich's playoff average -- for what it's worth.

by Sleepy Freud on Jun 21, 2007 3:38 PM PDT up reply actions

pretty good
first time in the playoffs and putting up nearly 20 points per? i'll take that

by AJC3317 on Jun 21, 2007 4:24 PM PDT up reply actions

me too! i'll take that!
considering there were more scoring options we had last season and in the play-offs AND helping out with the rebounding and help defense!

What a lot of people are forgetting is, when JRich wasn't scoring, he did other things like rebound, help D, and passing. As a matter of fact, FSN Bay Area did a segment on his passing skills the last 20 or so games of the season. So when he's off offensively, he has the ability to hurt the opposing team in other ways. I don't see many people pointing this out.

dang
you are really in love with Jrich. haha.

you may not like it, but not every one is enamored by Jrich's game. He's a flashy player, and turned himself into a decent outside shooter. the rebounding is a plus too. but other than that, what else does he do that can't be produced by Monta, Jax and Al??? We can get his production from 3 different ballplayers, which makes him expendable. Although for the right deal. I'm not talking about switching shooting guards for the sake of switching. We need a big in the worst way. Jrich is our only tradable asset that we can get rid of without crippling the team.

Loyalty is nice, but it doesn't win ball games. No one ever said, "Oh his loyalty out there really helped them when the game tonight Bob". Jrich is not the first player that said he wanted to stay a ____(insert team) for life. The newspaper ad was nice tho, i appreceated that one.

Mullin needs to be aggressive this offseason to improve this roster. if he leans on his heels, im afraid this team won't reach 40 wins.

by bullogna on Jun 21, 2007 9:57 AM PDT reply actions

except to the playoffs
come on. maybe a championship. you guys look for bad things to poke at and then it becomes a big mess. we need a rebounder, better then the ones we got, jrich is the best out of the guards, so keep him and get someone who is mature enough to take the low post.

by stevenro59 on Jun 21, 2007 7:38 PM PDT up reply actions

As
was said up there, I'd hate to see J Rich go. I think everyone is way too quick to ship him out. However if we could get a proven big for him and our draft pick I'd have to do it. We need someone down low who can pound with Boozer, Duncan, etc. The Jazz exposed our one glaring weakness in that we aren't a physical defensive team. If we can't get a proven big who can step in and help us right away, trading J Rich would be a mistake.

thank you eddie925
finally someone is setting the people straight. i cant believe all these people are trying to say thist about j rich. i bet all these people are going to trun there back on monta when its his turn. im hopping most of the people who are talking are bandwagon people because theya re forgetting what he has done and are acting like he cant do it anymore. because people only saw what he did this year.and to all the people saying hes expendable like his heart got nothing to with anything please tell me who is better because s jax will do it but get ejected, baron will do it after he jumps to high aain and his knees are hurting, and oh yeah monta will do it whiile hes super quiet and mello. oh yeah hope all you guys like having your j rich jersey become workout clothes!

i agree but
if we get kg i'd have to say bye bye to j-rich. but not for yi...that's just idiotic to me.

i agree completely
I think we owe it to him to get a chance to continue playing here. He just got a taste of the playoffs and will probably be craving for more.
