Paul Pierce to the Warriors?

Paul Pierce stating that if the Boston Celtics don't start getting All-Star players that he is publically announcing that he wants to be traded. So what about the Oakland native to be part of the Warriors? And as much as I absolutely love Jason Richardson, what about Jason Richardson + Sarunas + 18th Pick for Paul Pierce?

Baron Davis
Paul Pierce
Stephen Jackson
Al Harrington
Andris Biedrins

The only thing that I feel horrible about is that how Jason could only expeirence one year of playoffs than fall back into another playoff drought with Boston. So, if anybody else can figure a way to find a deal to get Pierce in without losing too much? That would be a +++ for the Warriors.

FEEDBACK?

let's do it!!!
P pierce is a proven star....proven all-star....him and bd 2gether would be unstoppable...he'd fit in perfectly with our up temp0 style....i could see myself in a pierce jersey already.....

and yes, i would be sad to see J rich go bcuz he has been with us for so any years....yet this is a biiiiiiiiiiiiisness so we can't not make trades just 2 be nice....if traded away, i would still always be a j rich and he would always be warrior in my heart

It's a business
So you have to think about $$$. We'd need to send Harrington as well as JRich to make the salaries and talent match; and we'd likely have to forfeit either Monta or Biedrins after next season to stay under the cap.

I'd still strongly consider it ... but taking on Pierce at $18M a year for the next four years is pretty risky.

Now if they'd consider something like...

Ratliff
Pierce

for

JRich
Harrington
Cabbages
Foyle

That I'd definitely do, since we could use Ratliff's expiring deal to re-sign one of the kids.

Ya dude
Pierce would be GREAT in Golden State...he and Baron are best friends. They grew up together in Compton, and they run this big basketball charity event together in the summer. Pierce would love an uptempo system too. Not to mention Pierce can rebound a bit...get it done Mullin

instead of PP... what if we get...
Al jefferson and some salary filler (ratliff) for Jrich + picks... (i havent checked to see if this works)..

Paul Pierce will get that second star player he really wants and W's wil get that power forward we are looking for. Jefferson had a great season last year and could do well in our system.

new starting lineup.

Baron
Monta
S-Jax
Jefferson
Biedrins

bench...
barnes
harrington
kelenna
foyle

Um, no.
They're reluctant to trade Jefferson for Garnett, so you can be damn sure they wouldn't trade him for JRich, a poor man's Paul Pierce. Would you trade Biedrins for Tony Allen?

if PP and BD play together
we also have to look at the future. Would they command extensions to finish off their careers at GS? If so, this would be trouble in that they would "hi-jack" the Ws financially and may not be able to resign AB and/or ME or other quality FAs in the future. I'm not a financial expert but this is just my guess.
