Oh Yeah
Steven A. Smith is this biggest piece of shit in the whole entire world.

I want to castrate him if he isn't already.

That pass was magic johnson-esque

he said
highway robbery for the W's and that Mullin is awesome.

by BiedrinsORBust on Jun 28, 2007 8:43 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

aa
and that Jrich is worth too much and overrated and jordan's dumb.

by jtoj on Jun 28, 2007 8:44 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

This is one of those trades where I hope..
Both teams benefit.  It's really rare when a player shows so much loyalty to a city.  I wish the league would reward that kind of behavior.

BTW...Stephen A Smith is a sensationalist jackass. J rich had only one bad season really.  Every season up until this one, he's gotten better.  Hopefully the Charlotte fans realize and appreciate the type of player they're getting

he said
getting j rich is horrendous, and that j rich is not a franchise player, he basically said j rich is not good and that he should be considered to be like KWAME BROWN!!!!

by 24k state fan since 87 on Jun 28, 2007 8:44 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

wth
he said hes been talking about this, when hes been telling everyone j rich is not gonna leave and is untouchable. wtf i know pople might hate me for this but i kinda hate mullin right now actually i do. he is not that good in basketball disicions, or example foyle contract, mike montgomery, Practice o bryant, and now this. jeez is hard to think that all the guys we got that year of gil, murph, and j rich have left the team. and the only one who went through all the hell is freaking Foyle ( Sorry Zorgon )

Mully
This doesn't make Mully a bad GM, but it is still kind of depressing. But we shouldn't hate Mully.
GOOD LUCK, JRICH. WE MISS YOU, MAN.

Nellie
Nellie did this. Mully is just the puppet.

I feel u guys
with the sympathy for JR, but i dont think it was that bad of a deal. We now get to keep Monta and Biendrins, and we get a very solid with high potential player in Brandan Wright.

hmm
lets Recap

playoffs-

JRich, gets the ball stolen from him by one of the quickest guys in the league, but runs back and blocks the "gimmie" layup on the other end

Monta, cries.

yeahhhh, keeping Monta is AWESOME

by nativeson on Jun 28, 2007 8:50 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

But Baron and Nellie are gone in 2 yrs
so its another 13 years until Playoffs?

Seriously it feels like selling low and giving away the heart of the team.

Baron is great and probably wouldn't have been able to be traded for KG but we're not going to have him long and what if he gets hurt, again, as is his history? And oh yeah he costs 150% of what JRich is money wise, plus wants an extension.

JRich is hardly injured and we sold pretty low here don't you think?

DUDDE
its damn true.. cant believe it.. some very great nba stars have come with us with some not so very great nba stars from jrich, gilbert, to dunleavy n murphy. and who is the last person who went through all the damnlosing? foyle.lol

Forget J-Rich
Stephan A. was right, if we didnt get rid of J-rich we would not be able to offord any other players. and how can u say u hate chris mullin. Im guesing you dont like baron davis, or monta ellis, or stephan jackson, or al harrington, or matt barnes. I bet you anything mullin has something up his sleeve. just wait.

well most of those guys
actually all of there were given to us practically, baron was a guy wo got constantly hurt, and s jax wel he gave the pacers to much bad rep, harrington was mostly put in for the money, i know they worked out well but its not like mully had a hard decision and time to get them.

J-Rich
Is better and will always be a better all around player than Monta. I love Monta, but he is not better than Jason

We could've had Noah instead.
They must love Wright a lot to lose fan fave heart and soul JRich. I would've asked Charlotte to take Noah instead but I just don't know enough about Wright.

by kirkkazas on Jun 28, 2007 8:53 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

re
again, Noah is NOT THAT GOOD.

by jtoj on Jun 28, 2007 8:54 PM PDT up reply actions   0 recs

man
i would have taken Al Horford he is a better player than Wright.

Mulling made a good choice
I love J Rich.  He was my favorite player.  But, Mullin did the right thing in not letting emotion get involved.  J is great - but he is not a top top tier player in this league.  We also don't need his leadership as much because the W's rely on Baron and Jax.  So, you have to look at the potential of an arguable lottery pick, a super young talent that has the ability to be something special.  It really does hurt to say, but it was a good deal for the W's.

by GSIBELIEVE on Jun 28, 2007 8:57 PM PDT reply actions   0 recs

Emotionally involved? Welcome to the business NBA
For all of you bashing Mulli right now since it appears that he is making the executive decisions,  think again.
As long as Nellie hasn't officially left, it's ultimately Nellie's decision.
I missed out a few season's between 2002 through 2004 so other than the dunk contest, I didn't have time to get too atached to J-Rich.
He's got awesome team spirit and exciting dunks and clutch 3's but could not deliver at times in the clutch against Utah when it counted the most.
Wright should have went in the top 3 or 4 picks of the best draft since 1984.
I THINK THIS MOVE FOR GOLDEN STATE IS AN INVESTMENT IN OUR LONG TERM FUTURE, FANTASTIC, AND WILL PAY OFF BIG!!!
OMG!!! WE FINALLY GOT A BIG MAN WITH SOME SKILLS AFTER 25 YEARS!! THERE IS A GOD!!!

JRich
I like JRICH but damn there is just too much whining about trading him.  Its not like he was an all-star.  He has poor handles for a 2 guard and is a so-so defender.  I think Jackson is a better all around player at a cheaper price. He was the face of the franchise, a losing one. Being the only decent player on bad teams does not make you untrade-able. Everyone knows we had too many swing players and no one but AB upfront. Everyone knew we would have to do something in order to keep AB and Monta after their rookie contracts and that we had to try to get an athletic forward.  This trade has opened up more possiblities for the team. Its going to be tough to make the playoffs in the West and there's no way the Dubs would have made it with basicly the same team.

Now what im gonna do?
another jersey gone out of my closet, how many times i got to see this? from hardaway to bimbo, mullin for ferrel, j.smith for weatherspoon, and the list goes on and on, this remaind me like about 15 years ago when we offer our 23 back then for a first round pick, it didnt last long
