bigger shock

What is more surprising this nba playoffs, the warriors ousting one of the winningest teams in nba history in the first round for a 8seed to beat a 1seed OR the cavs making the nba finals after being 2-0 to the pistons who have dominated the eastern side of the playoffs?  I was thinking to myself and really could not decide; i mean as a warriors fan it wasn't AS shocking to me than the rest of the world that the warriors beat the mavs but it was an amazing feat nonetheless.  And yes the cavs are in the eastern conference so they may not have as good of competition but who thought they would end up in the finals?!  Just would like to hear what the gsom community has to say.

We were more surprising
only because the dubs made it into the playoffs on the last day, and the mavs had like the 5th best record of all time or something. Cavs were already one of the top teams.

Warriors made history
We were must more surprising, even down 0-2 people were saying the Cavs looked like the better team. Going into the series with Dallas I heard one person from all the TV, Radio and Websites I saw and it was Skip Bayless on ESPN say that he thought Golden State could take Dallas. Even after we won the first game a lot of people were saying we would lose the next 4. The Cavs comeback was impressive and I really like Lebron's game but the Warriors basically pulled the biggest upset NBA in playoffs history.

How about...
the defending world champions Miami Heat getting swept by the baby Bulls?

Bulls over Heat wasn't that crazy
With Wade not being 100% and the rest of the team getting older by minute.

Cleveland over the Pistons was a shock, but not THAT big of a shock.  The Cavs were #2 in the East for a reason.  Everyone just underrates them because they only have one real superstar on the team and no history of playoff dominance (like the Pistons do).  They're a very legit team and it very could've easily been a sweep.

The Warriors over the Mavs wasn't that big of a shock to us, but it was a big shock to the world who didn't know anything about us except that we "crept" into the playoffs.  For us, it was more like "see? told you we own the Mavs.  see? we're alot better than our #8 seeding"

definately
dubs over mavs... no brainer.  we made history here with 8th over 1st in a 7 gamer.  Cavs have one of the top players in the league in Lebron and remember they are in the east.  no way they will come back against the spurs down 0-2

i still think they have a shot at beating the spurs, a small one, but a shot.... not if they get down 0-2 though

Definitely the Dubs
7 game series.

1 vs 8 seed.

Best record in the league vs. Dubs squad that made playoffs by winning out.

Dubs take this by a large one. I do hope the Cavs win though. King James is a beast.

Dubs fo sho!
There is no comparison... Dubs over the Mavs, aside from the 1 vs 8 scenario, there was more drama and emotion to the series including Nellie vs Cuban, etc...

But I'll give props to Bron Bron for Sackin up and putting his Cavs on his back and eliminating the Pistons ala MJ back in the day... Let's be honest, the Cavs have no chance against the Spurs.. It'll be over in 5 or 6 games...

In the place to be...
I remember stepping in the place to be... game 3 at the Oracle Arena vs. The Mavs and I was so excited, shoot u could see it in the atmosphere- the fans were crazy! I wanted a win no doubt but the excitement of just being there overshadowed how we were gonna win that night... we were all happy 2 be a part of history! Than... we won... and won again... when they brought it home for game 6 and we one and closed out the series... that was when the shock the world feel hit us... we were more Happy the dubs made history and it happened so fast, My wife and I could only think "We got 2 More guaranteed Home Games to go to Our Season ain't over! (Utah Series) Who knows where thats gonna take us! (at the time lol)
