pierre pierce
thats wierd that no one posted this before me...
this was nice to see pierre pierce work pay off. i know that he has done some really bad things in the past, but someone will land this great player sooner or later, and he will do great things for that team.

"This chance right here, it's for the rest of my career, the rest of my life," Pierce said. "I know I've made mistakes in the past, I've acknowledged that. There's no more room for error. ... I'm 24 years of age. This is it. I should know what needs to be done to be successful."there is no doubt in my mind that Pierre Pierce will be hanging with the warriors next season.
should take a chance on him? are you willing to take a chance on his criminal background?

LOL
lmao, considering that he's a shooting guard, why would he be running the point anyways? I guess you're making this opinion about his athleticism by his 3 summer league games right?
I guess his performance can't satisfy all the warrior "fans", but he seems athletic enough to do a decent job at the PG/SG/SF positions if he had to.
But Pierre Pierce should get his shot, especially since they can get him for cheap, and with Baron always being broken, they'll need someone who can fill that roll.

You assume a lot?
Monta still needs to work on his handles, and people have been talking about Belinelli getting some minutes at the point... i'm saying that he wouldn't be able to. That doesn't mean that I don't like his game, it's just my opinion on him playing a certain position.

lol you need glasses
Specify "people". Either way Belinelli isn't a point, but he is athletic enough to play the position if he was forced to.
The biggest problem Monta has to deal with at the point spot isn't his handles, its his mindset towards the position. Although his dribbling and passing skills aren't top notch, when they forced him to play point, he didn't play with the same fire he does when he's just having to score. He was getting lazy with his passing and dribbling, he's very capable, but willing is another story. I'm not saying he doesn't need to improve (who doesn't) but he has to want to play that spot if they expect him to backup Baron, but if Pierce is picked up, Monta can just fight for the SG spot if they let him.

I (we) have followed Pierre for quit sometime. He looked rusty (Jail can do that to a guy). He did get tired quickly... (Not at his best) and his eyes were not as sharp as they were at Iowa. That said, He is #17 on the MVP list for the Summer league. NOT where is hoped to be, but he IS much better than this.

Best I can see is the minimum and D League at the beginning of the season and be brought up as he grows into his new skin.
