Warriors/Mavs should be one of the Christmas Day games.

I just viewed a post on The Fanhouse that says a potential Christmas Day game could be the Heat against the Cavs. This would be a good matchup, depending on Wade's health, but an even better matchup for the holiday would have to be the Warriors taking on the Mavericks. Who would not watch this game and not be extremely excited by it? Anyone have Stern's number so we can get this game on the schedule?

This FanPost is a submission from a member of the mighty Golden State of Mind community. While we're all here to throw up that W, these words do not necessarily reflect the views of the GSoM Crew. Still, chances are the preceding post is Unstoppable Baby!

I agree...
That would be a great game to watch.

Hell Yea!
Warriors deserve some prime time NBA coverage. They are exciting to watch, and always bring a buzz to the court and the fans! Heat and Cavs are boring to watch, really. They could at least make it Cavs vs Detroit.

Who cares about the Mavericks
Is there still a rivalry? Haven't we kicked Cuban's hapless team around enough? We've owned them for over a year already and on a huge stage in the playoffs. Were it not for Bennet Salvatore and a couple breaks, we could have won it in 4.

I'd rather see Warriors and Suns. A 300 point game would be sweet.

Questions? Complaints?

Yeah, there's still a rivalry. They love talkin' mess and then getting owned. It's what they do.

dude!
as long as they still have dirk and cuban and we have nellie there is always gonna be a rivalry.  the rivalry may even last longer then that.  we've only  owned them for 2 years and really the playoffs are what matters most and we only played them in teh playoffs once.  this is a brand new rivalry that has just begun.

I would love to see a Christmas day game
Shoot- they could play anybody! Every year, it's family and fun which is all good... but if I could get the GSW fam an extension and cheer w/ them on x-mas day... with our team... that would be bangin'! I remember a few weeks prior 2 X-Mas... the Rockets game 2 be specific... we had lower level tix behind the team (that I hustled from my ex-Realtor who we didn't even buy a house from LOL), I screamed like a girl when Thunder ran through w/ them Pizza's... and I got one...! If u haven't tried one of them Pizza's Thunder and co. hand out... you're in for a treat! They're actually really tasty! Gourmet ish too! Ain't none of that rubbery Chuck-E-Cheese pizza goin' on! My bad... this post has nothin 2 do w/ Pizza's!

O ya
i couldn't find it on NBA.com but it says it on the bottom banner of NBA TV.

Well...
As a fan of the Mavs (and an interested party in the Dubs), I must say this is NOT a rivalry!! OU/Texas, Mavs/Spurs, USC/Cal...years and years of hatred...that's a rivalry!! This was a great series and a great outcome for your fans, but not a rivalry (not yet anyway). I hope to see more of you guys on National TV, the Dubs remind me of Phoenix in a way!
